Thanks for the words Pylon...I gotta agree I am very impatient with backgrounds and I am trying to use less black for the darks...

ahh, bhanu is doing it all!
the paint studies, the life drawings and the monkeys!
its a pleasure to look into your sb and see all the effort your putting into it.

    also:
    - im serious about the you-could-do-some-great-porn-comics
    - looking at your batman, HE could be in the story (maybe some selina action, or bruce beeing into swinger clubs!)
    - looking at him again, i think a batman story would be more than cool (even without the porn)

so effing cool, seriously, it's amazing. i love the composition.
any chance of making some of your cool sketches into something more polished?
also i agree, you would make such cool naked ladies comics.

Hey, I'd study more anatomy and structure. Try to build up your figures with more shapes and less lines. Remember that everything in the world is made of very simple, basic shapes-- cubes, cones, cylinders, spheres, and pyramids. Practice these well and know true glory, grasshoppa. :]

haha, Le Artiste De Porno lives up to his name! Great stuff bro, awesome stylisation you have going here - I think you may be onto something with this. Colours are getting better and better - I see a lot more subtlety creeping into these, which is a really good thing. I think you can go even further there - Like with your red backround: get some (very subtle) spots of orange, green and even purple in there. Not too noticable, just to take it out of something that is too flat.

Your line is becoming something to be jealous of - keep going with it, you have a lot of potential that you can still unlock there.

    Keep this stuff coming bro!
    cheers!

ok first a sincere compliment http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...i/DSC02842.jpg this is a great drawing, really beautiful, all the update is nice but that drawing really pop up(at least for me)

now some suggestions: your work with lines is really good and every update is better, but i think you could make some exploration with other media and even thecniques. draw something totally opposite to what you do normally, or change the hand position. maybe some ink and water? using your fingers to paint? (sorry if this sound a bit silly, but im serious)

the painting are nice, but i think that you have to work with the values and color interaction a bit more.
try to loose more the watercolours, let the water play with the colours and paper. accidents is the word that come to my mind.

    ok that's all for now.

    all this is a suggestion.
i like your work and i said this a lot of time, so i think is time for make some constructive comments,no?

    take care, and show more!

Hi mate, I like your drawings, but your colors are to saturated and the palette seems to have been chosen randomly. The technique and light is somewhat better, (specially in the second one of 468). Cheers. If you haven't you could also try the digital midium for adding colors. Could be easier.

    Sketch-Thanks a hell lot.

    Aztcfireflower-thanks.

Dimagyan-thanks for the words man.I myself like the drawing you mentioned... I was actually inspired but Jules bastien le page's Joan d'arc.
Check out the painting its beautiful.yknow I think somehow I am not a temperamental watercolorist. Its hard for me to let accidents happen...I let my lines do the accidents....yknow many a times i dont know where my line will go....so I think there needs to ba balnce.. but yeah I did actualy an accidental watercolor....Let me know what you think of it...

Lennon-Thanks for the comments...I am reading and learning color theory this color thing is very new to me.....I hope I will learn as I keep going....

PaperX-Thanks bro, yes I will do some color theory, actually its all quite a bewildering...Still I will work at it..

ooh good going on the colours in the last painting man, loving the skin tone. her lower legs look a bit weird to me though, they look a bit short and the one the left (her right) looks awkward twisted a bit...

great improvement though, keep it up man

Out of this last update, I think ^this^ one is the only bad one. Their feet are mushed in uncomfortably at the bottom of the page, and it doesn't come across as a convincing decision. The best advice I can give you here is to just stop even thinking about where the page ends. Just completely forget that the page has an edge. Maybe draw on some really really big pages to get a feel for the freedom?

The other updates are all looking good, you're making fast progress! Just have to pat your ass one more time about your line - it's looking really great. Maybe slow it down in some places to get some more character into it?

As for books on painting - I highly highly highly recommend Alla Prima by Richard Schmid. As do most pros around here. It really is a fantastic book and reads very well. Keep it up brothar, ya make me proud!

great update man! you're definitely improving fast dude, i agree with Sketch about the sword girl, although i feel the rendering on her skin might be a bit too smooth and looks sorta plastic-y rather than flesh. also, with your watercolours, im not really sure how you go about doing them, but i reckon you should try slowing down a bit and build it up over a few more washes. right now i feel it looks like you got an idea of what to do when starting on one, but rushed in too quick, and it the end result suffers because of that...just my 2 cents keep pushing it bro!

I'm definitly in love with the first and the second one, there's a powerful "line" in them . Also I don't feel the same for the lasts sketches.

Hey dude! Sorry for now dropping by often man. You're getting along great, as Gax said those first two rock.

Also, I'm loving the watercolours. They're interesting and the textures rock my socks. On the chick with the sword, I agree she's maybe a little plastic-ish, but I think you're main thing is you need to vary the local tones and local colours of the skin. Get some reds into the arms and face and some greens or cyans into the paler parts.

good stuf man keep it coming!
