    NSFW - Nudity Chris Nygaard aka Hive_minD ~updated page 21! : [11-Apr-13]

Chris is my name. Been around CA.org for ages. After long thoughts and mental-battles I started my own SB (the BAH-book).
    I'm here to learn

Hopefully you will also see progress in my art as the amount of pages rises!
    Cheers

    Chris.

    Hey nice start! Welcome.

The first picture is too solid in tone, you really need some highlights to accentuate the form of the alien head. I quite like this though.

The latest muscle study.. right arm muscle looks pretty small. Maybe thats what its like I don't know. Just make sure you get anatomy CORRECT when you draw it, don't learn mistakes =D.

    Keep up the good work!

    these ones I liked. Alot.
I like the shading technique (I have used it myself on many occations, though since I rarely do anything with led-tipped pencils nowadays I rarely use this shading technique) and it is done very nice.

Especially the bottom head is very neat.
If you are going to colour these ones, a suggestion is to use levels in PS to make them more or less lines only, keep the shadowed one as a reference, and possibly pick up some references for rubber, metal and leather to use for the colouring parts...

cool, your a warhammer player hey? nice stuff, you seem to have a pretty good grip on human proportions, get any Nid sketches that you cna show us? i love that first image, what is that? an eel or something? the thumbs on your hand sketches seem a little out of proportion but apart from that there all pretty nice drawings.

    Um... it's been awhile... huh?

Well, there is some really nice stuff in here.
I think some more of the anatomy studies, along with hands and faces studies, you shall be on your way to victory.
    Let's see tons more!

    Its been too long.

    Yes i am a bum...
School and work every day is killing me.
-and on top of the whole thing i lost my internet for a week or two, but at least I've moved my PC in my room now..
anyways, I'm gonna try to most more often now.

I'm updating with 3 different projects, one WIP, and two finished.

~the first one is a digital speedy, made in Painter. i only used ink-brushes.
    - I'm still trying to learn the program.

~the second one is a drawing of another project. a black undead knight. i started it after reading Inheritance- a vampire7undead book. its still not done yet though....

~the last one is my first oil painting ever. another speedy, round about 5-6min. i guess its ok.

Feel free to give me any CC. thx
    love Chris.

Hi, your drawings are really nice but i think you should practice shading more simpler objects first, like spheres, boxes, cones, and the like, and be sure to have a scale of values divided in shadows, halftone, light, and highlight, get andrew loomis book called succesfull drawing because it explains it better there, im sure youll improve a lot if you do that, good luck!.

Ello hive. Nice to see your SB on here. For a feeling of more 3D ness, try to do sketches/drawings with more of a side angle/ partial orthographic view rather than a pure profile view (which can appear flat and purely 2D)

hey, good to see you are starting out boldly and enthusiastically. keep working on getting depth in your work and don't make everything glow like the last digital painting. Select the lighting and stick with it
    last two sketches were good

~TheGnoll: Well I guess I failed on that "daily" part... things are so hectic, if you know what I mean... But I'll try do at LEAST post once a week. -and don't worry, anatomy will be faced with courage!
~Smokey186: I'll see what I can mix up
~Envisor: I doubt it, but I'll surely make more tyranid art...
~Koshime: Damn, you noticed! I guess I often take the easy-way, since I always tend to hate my "art". But I guess I have to face my fears again some day
    ~Dan liimatta: Cheers mate.
~Mentler: Your words are just as inspiring as your art... Thank you for posting here. I hope you will be visiting my SB more often.
~Flamehands: Thanks for popping by mate

I am sorry to say I haven't come with any updates. To tell the truth I've been avoiding my own SB in fear of hearing the crowds shouts for new art. Things have been so hectic over here, though I shouldn't be kidding myself. The main reason I don't post so often is because I just hate my stuff. I'm never really happy with a drawing I make, and I never really get all my sweet ideas on paper. Don't know why. Things just don't turn out the way I want them to. -just like life.
anyways I'm planning on updating my SB REALLY soon. -and from then on ill try to post more often. (at least once a week...hopefully more)

    Chris.

As I said. I'm going to try to post more. So here is an update again. From now on you will be seeing much more crap that I don't even like...
Just like these fast lines I did in Painter -resembling so-called weapons.
might go back and do more detail on them in the future... who knows
