well,he seems to be mesmerized by the big signature
but seriously, there is no focal point. everything is rendered equally, you don't know where to look first. also, where does the light come from? on the body it seems from above,on the head from the side,on the hair from the front etc. decide on one lightsource! place a little stylized light bulb in there if you must so you remember where it is. f.ex. his head should cast a shadow on the body in some way. the body looks pretty stiff, like he swallowed two sticks or something that put him in this position now. the face has no real structure (underlying structure that is),which makes it rather flat and uninteresting,it has no real character in it. eyebrows would also greatly help on that issue.on a positive note,i really like the textures. but don't necessarily use black for shadows and white for highlights, makes it uninteresting. might be you find some useful things in this tutorial: http://www.itchstudios.com/psg/art_tut.htm
    good luck

    Always think about:
    lighting! design! perspective! proportion!
    And (self)motivation is still everything.
