Superman redesign redesign

This is me dicking around in painter forcing myself to learn how to use it. This is the first one that I'm generally fond of. The image itself need a bit of tweaking, but I was proud of what I did with the program. Comments welcome.

Nice. Your textureing is really nice. The "S" looks a bit out of place though. I think the perspective is a bit off from the rest of the body. Otherwise spectacular.

Overall it looks very nice. The one thing I noticed was the back leg. The calf and the thigh looks too thick.

I have to confess, that with so many other "redesigns" lately, I was ready to hate this from the title alone. But I don't... not at all. The billboard on his chest is out of place (an actual chest plate of the "S" might not be too bad), and his pose is stiff, but there are a lot of cool things going on. My favorite are the red palms, but the cape, too, gives him a more... oh, a more regal feeling. He doesn't carry the feeling of raw power and presence, but it is a redesign, so that's not surprising. I would probably have gone for something other than baby for the blue, as well, but that's just me nit-picking.

I think if you were to work out the "S" and the disco pose, it would really go places.
