Mr. Right shows you how to do it: //WRONG\\

I've started finishing sketches, if you don't like what's here at the top, try starting at the bottom and work your way up. Also, the original attachments from the first post are gone. Sorry.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
All I know is that there were rumors he was into field hockey players... there were rumors--
So I applied basically. I went out for the team.
It was so hush-hush. Everyone was so... quiet about it. Then the next thing you know--

Not bad! I think you should check out some references for faces; you've got a fair grasp of anatomy, especially in the hands, but you can never improve too much when it comes to the figure. ^_^ Also work on varying line width for your pen work; I'm guessing it's just a sketch, in which case it doesn't really matter, but if it's a final it seems a little messy and flat without the variation line width provides.

I was not myself last night couldn't set things right with apologies or flowers
Out of place as a cryin' clown who could only frown and the play went on for hours
And as I lived my role I swore I'd sell my soul for one love
Who would stand by me and give me back the gift of laughter...
    Phantom of the Paradise, anyone?

Also, a study of Mr. T.

    how to do it: //HURTING\\

Today's update starts with a comic strip I'm working on. If anyone has some stories of self-mutilation that they feel comfortable sharing with me, then please, message me. Also, from now on lyrics will appear at the bottom of the post.

    It's called, "Cutting Remarks."

Self-portrait. I was trying to bend the rules and go more Jamie Hewlett with the body (scrawny legs, high crotch), but the arms should be thinner for that.

A Tapir is an animal that is black and grey -- split down the middle. It is crazy.

hey man, I really dig these sketches. Shows potential, nice lines and dynamic poses. I do think the faces often look kinda flat compared to the rest of the figure though. Maybe do some portraits?
In any case, keep it up!

    Hello from three years later.

Here's a WIP I wanted to post the process of. I really don't keep track of how I get to my finished product and I think that I could probably learn a thing or two from studying where I made certain decisions and whether or not they were the right ones.

This is the second in a series of... well, I won't spoil the surprise. But I do promise to post the first one once I've finished this one.
