Tyranx's New and Improved Sketchbook +3 vs Lazy --Updated 03/09/09

Thought it would be a good time to start a new sketchbook. that old one was starting to stink.

Hey guys, here is my WIP for the Blizzard Art Contest. Just thought I'd post it up here and get yours guys' thoughts. (its an entry for the Diablo 2d Enviro)

    And some steps...

I am still debating whether to have it blue or brownish grey.
I'll continue posting updates throughout the day.

Huzzah, recognized the place instantly, really nice mood tyranx. I'm sure you'll add some fire and brimstone to the atmosphere. First version is more appropriate to what the original palette in the game was.

    Cheers.

    Thanks guys.

Another Update... I'm gonna go with the brownish gray, it fits better within the Diablo world I think.

sweet. Great stuff tyranx! I have one crit though, for some reason the left side of the picture doesn't really seem to mix with the right side for some reason. I love the lighting on the right side, but it seems as if something is missing from the left side, I can't even really pin point it, but it just doesn't feel completely unified as a peice. Sorry if that didn't help much haha, but either way, it looks very good! I'm digging the composition.

Skeiff - your right, I was in a rush and a cut some corners, I like my 2nd to last update the most, but it was a bit ambitious, given then amount of time I had left. ah well.
