Anyone know how to create an old yellowing comic book newsprint texture?

Hi all, I am tryin gto fin d a way to make a texture like this to use as a background. I have a few panels I did for someone in a sort of old fashioned comic book style that I'd like to use the line-art multiplied onto an old newsprint texture and lay in some flats so it looks like a panel from an actual old comic book.

Ive attached one of the panels as an example of what Im working with:

I would just scan some thing in but of course I don thave any old comics with that much blank newsprint, heheh. And I have newsprint pads for drawing but it's just not looking the same.

    Thanks!

First, try the web. There must be something you can use.

Second. Try an artshop and buy some paper. It should be possible to find everything from very flat white sheets, to papyrus and handmade paper with loads of texture. Scan and play with it in Photoshop.

Third. Go to a bookstore with old books. It should be easy to find some 'almost discarded' books in a box for a very low price, with cover missing or something, torn pages... Try to look for books with compilations of sheets of music. Why? They are often pretty big so the sheets are equally big. All books have some pages in the beginning with nothing printed on them. Thats the ones you are looking for whatever book you find. Buy, and then SCAN them! But that should be the hard way to do it.

Remember that Photoshop has a built-in texture generator with burlap, canvas, brick and more to use. Check that out first perhaps. Its somewhere under the filter dropdown i think.

Hey thanks man, that's a good call, didnt even think of grabbing an old book. Im sure I have one around. They always have a few blank pages at the beginning and end.

And yeah I know Photoshop well but none of the filters I tried got anywhere close. Got in the neighborhood but alays ended up looking to obviously like photoshop filters........

O.K., some CA members asked me to tell how I achieved this effect. If you are interested, download zipped Photoshop action file, see detailed install/usage explanation in the included readme file.
Recorded under Photoshop 7.0, have no idea does it works for CS. Checked it twice, but maybe some bugs are still here, let me know if something wrong.

Cool!, those dots not hurting my eyes. I like the style. Can you please share how this sort of effect can be achieved.
