    Scratchboard tool jagged edges: problem?

Hi. I just wanted to now if these jagged edges I'm getting with the scratchboard tool in Painter IX.5 (pc, Intuos 2) are normal. They only appear when I use a large brush size (about 53) and draw slow strokes. Smaller sizes don't seem to be affected. Just wanted to be sure.
    Thanks in advance.

You could change the Size Expression from Pressure to None but that would negate the wonderful variations in thickness this variant is known for. A little practice, combined with pressure adjustments in the Preferences>Brush Tracking dialog UI and your tablet software should help to eleminate those jaggies.

I've been using the scratchboard tool religiously for a few years now in my art, and I feel your pain. I've tried a million things to work around it, but I think (like Nzlman said) the only real way to lessen the effect is through practice/input tweaking. If someone else knows of a way to get rid of those, I would be forever grateful
