Huh, some pretty good stuff. Indeed.

I want to see some backgrounds though. Backgrounds. Yeh.

(am I the only one who hates that ConceptArt.Org banner? Dammit!)

Great! My only qualm is with the stockade and speaker zombie. They have very tiny to no hips. Just nit-pickin' though.

The zombies with the body parts on there belts is a great idea. I was wondering if there was going to be any necklances and sure enough there was a ear necklance....sweet.

Matsign- No, the original is much larger and you can find it in the Zombie thread here.

Katsgod- Thank you, I love them too!

    Spiffiness- Thank you very much!

    Fishspawn- Hehe, Thanks!

Goodbye..fromthevoid- Thank you, I will have to post some images that have some backgrounds. These were pretty much art directed to specification for a miniatures company.

Dreamworker- Thanks! All the lineart was done with painter's scratchboard varient at around an hour each. The greyscale stuff was painted with photoshop and took a bit longer to do. The zombie avatar was done with painter's chalk/conte varients. I will post more.

Spade- Thank you! I will post more.

Iddi- Thanks! I will post more with color and work more with color.

Nyx702- I see what you mean now, and I agree. I don't think the AD cared as long as they looked creepy. The head gear actually changed to them holding big guitar amps in front of them. So in the final version their hips were not in view. Still, there's no excuse for mishandled anatomy

Oooh scary! You could even push it further by having bones showing, or bits of flesh dangling from the figure. I like what you did with the first zombie's face.

Oh I love your style. Those B&W digital sketches are simply brilliant. Haven't seen many guys doing so rough and still readable drawings with only 2 color values. For example this http://rhinohidestudios.com/images/zp%20concept.jpg . Those eyes and teeth... Pure dynamic. Also the whole body anatomy looks quite good.
Btw, tell us if the game is getting up! Would like to test.

    Keep on rocking.

Wow, those are some pretty vicious looking zombies you've got there.

I really like your black and white lineart, but your greyscale stuff just doens't have the same punch to it. Your figures also tend to look a bit cumbersome in some cases as well, for example the biker with the helmet, and the two female orthos.

spiffiness- Thats a good idea, I'll have to incorporate that somehow, thanks!

maknien- Thanks! I like that one alot too, it was a simple 5 min doodle in photoshop during lunch. Sometimes I can hit it and sometimes.. well...not so much.

MadCat- Hi Madcat! Yeah I like 'em. Don't worry though I'm not all about zombies. I'll upload some other stuff I'm doing that is very saccharine.

crazy3dman- Haha! Naw, not a master, just an apprentice. Thanks for the comments!

dfacto Thanks! I'm not sure I get your meaning about cumbersome. Do you mean stiff? If so then I have to agree, I need to loosen up and get my figures to feel more natural. Must practice!

Nice udate. Have you worked much with the source engine?
Acouple things about the "critter." I really think the birds sketched out on the posts are a good idea. I think they would make my eye move over the piece more. Something esle is I cant really tell where it body is coming from? Is it coming out of the ground or slithering like across the creek bed? Just something to think about.

Just reiterating what others have said already: Up the contrast by adding more darks and lights, and make it clear as to whether it's slithering along the bottom of the creek or coming out of the bottom. If it's slithering, change the angle of the belly somehow (O_o) and if it's the latter, maybe put in some displaced rocks/soil and more ripples. Also, there might be a bit of light coming from the right of the creature under the belly or bouncing off the water, so you might be able to squeeze in some lighter details in there as well.

Thanks for the helpfull comments on the COW, I had tried a different pose but I ran out of time. I gave it a light wash of color and kept things pretty muted. Ah well, better luck next time I suppose.
