    My Sketchbooks

Over at Scifi-meshes and J.Scott Campbells sites I have been posting the
    best of my sketchbooks.?

    Edit 9-29-06

I removed the bulk since no one saw interest in the amount of work.
I can post links to them, or stop by my deviant art site for them.

I have removed my Sketchbook dumps 1995 - 2005 since I was told there
was no incentive to scroll through them.

Back when I was creating Zeus in on of my character design classes we had an assignment
to create a family album for the character we where creating. This is what I came up
with. I played off of the idea that Zeus was a genetically altered Gorilla that grew up in a
Lab. He was always having tests and experiments run on him until he snapped and escaped.
He eventually came back and got his revenge and took of the Lab.

Here is a quick marker sketch I did last light of Bumble Bee. In this sketch
I decided to go more towards the the head that the Toy had in the 80's.

Next to his vehicle mode is Tracks in his hover mode minus his wings and missle rack.

I was going through some of my Trek Comics and came across my Early
Voyages Comics and decided to draw up my idea of what Pike's Chief
Engineer would look like in the Mirror Universe. So here he is Chief Engineer
    Moves-With-Burning-Grace.

Well here is my next member of the I.S.S. Enterprise crew under Captain Pike. This is Dermot Cusak the Head of Pike's Personal Gaurd.

In the normal Universe he was Pike's Yeoman and was killed in a ambush
on Rigel VII before the Pilot Episode.

    Enjoy.

As you may not know I work in advertising to pay the bills.
I had an ad today that wanted a cow lying on a mattress in a red barn.
This is what I came up with, Enjoy.

Here is the finished Version on CMDR Kirk of the I.S.S. Enterprise.
I may ad some beam-in effects on his legs, but for the most part he is done.

looks like you really like the scifi/startrek thing. be careful of proportions - it looks like you are straying into anime proportions occasionally with the ultra long legs.

The harsh truth is I don't see any progress, you've been stagnant for over 10 years.

Forget style and work on foundational skills. You've been drawing this way for over ten years, so forget about your style for a few months and do various exercises. Do bargue drawings, work from life, study perspective, construction, anatomy, design, look at other people's styles from history and modern times, read various art books, go to a museum, aquarium, zoo, experiment with different mediums, order some gnomon DVDs, read the various tutorials on this site.

Also a lot of these pictures are way too big, and there's really no incentive to bother scrolling them over.

I do have a lot of Life Drawing Experience, and will be scanning some
my drawing in, including my drawings from my trip to England and Denmark in 2003. That will show you that I can draw from life
just fine. I have just choose to show my other comic and animated
    style artwork.

I have deleted those pieces since you saw no incentive to scroll through all
of my "Stagnent" Art. If people want I will post links to them or swing by
    http://stourangea.deviantart.com for them.

I meant the wide pieces. There's no problem scrolling up and down, just sided to side. Have to scroll over two and half screens just to see the gun guy. Judging by the responses I doubt anyone bothered scrolling those. My opinion remains the same.

Here is my latest batch of sketches.
The first one I used pages from Drawing the Human Anatomy
    by Giovanni Civardi as reference.

    http://hammerheadgraphics.iwarp.com/skulls.jpg

The second is a sketch I did of one of my fovorite X-Villians Spiral.
I plan of doing a finished piece based off this sketch.

    http://hammerheadgraphics.iwarp.com/spiral.jpg

The Third is just a few doodles including a head shot of Venom

    http://hammerheadgraphics.iwarp.com/Sketches01.jpg

Finally A sketch of The badest X-man around Wolverine.

Ooh, like your Star Trek stuff! ^__^

I like your character design of Zeus, you can really see his personality from those couple of pages. And your life studies are great too. I've tried that waiting room thing at the airport but everyone near me kept moving around and I think they were getting suspcious of me drawing people. XD

Here are a series of creature concept designs
I created for a company named Nival. This
is was a test that they requested. I am waiting to
hear if I got the Freelance Concept Artist position.

They wanted 3-4 concepts based off of their character
description that they sent me. These are in the order
    of development.
