I like them all, actually i like them so much you get stars, many stars.
hope you post soon.
! very nice! you have a great style, all of these are wonderful to look at. Give us some background info on yourself! love that last one, seems classic! keep sharing-this is all very inspiring.
Amazing, the last is the best by far.. GREAT work.
hey airage. i know ur work from the digitalartforum, some very nice enviros. i like em a lot. maybe u should try using a more desaturated palette, and only for them details some supersaturated colors (like u did in the nightshot with the cars). this helps to lead the viewers eye. just my 2 cents. anyway, nice stuff, keep posting.

oma - Thank you
Spade - Well, i think there's not much to say. I'm 22, living in Germany and hopefully getting accepted for a course of study in 2007 or 2008. Still not sure what do do exactly. Sadly, there aren't much choices of where and what to study for me
So i'm recently just jobbing to get the dues paid and work as hard as i can in my freetime to get a better portfolio and improve
Asoir - Thanks!
Kicek - Hey there! Thank you a lot for the input, i think this will help a lot. I'll try to follow your advice![]()
Beautiful work, the last two just blew me away - keep posting!
Respect is the ultimate currency.
Zanconato - Thank you!
Today's morning practice, a little Photo referenced. I kinda srewed up the perspective on some of the roofs, well... on to the next one.
.......wow your environments are soooo beautiful![]()
is that the correct word for it?
White Rose - Thank you.
Here's a little update with some sketches from the last days/week, mostly with the help of reference. Critique would be greatly appreciated! Thank you![]()
wow. i really love your use of color. your cityscapes are top notch. very cool stuff.
i look forward to more![]()
Wow! I'm loving the city scapes, as well as the japanese scene looks good too. Out of those last four, the fourth one looks the best.
HolyF! This stuff looks like pure magic to me.
that's amazing!
Very nice enviro piece dude. I especially like the clean worked out ones in the first post.
As a crit I'd have to say to work more on your sketchy rendering since your looser pieces don't really feel like solid sketches, but more like WIPs. I'd also be careful with colors, because (especially inthe first pic) they overwhelm the actual content.
Looking forward to more posts.![]()
Es fließt durch meine Venen, Es schläft in meinen Tränen
Es läuft mir aus den Ohren, Herz und Nieren sind Motoren
Thank you for the kind words & motivation.
dfacto - Thank you a lot for the helpfull input, i think i know what you mean. I hope to get a better feeling for brushstrokes and simplification when i practice more
Here's some more or less quick stuff, around 2 hours, the city one with help of Photoreference. And an attempt at doing some little sketches to throw color on later... but i miserabely failed, need to paint quicker and loosen up. That''s pretty hard for me...![]()
I'd love to hear some critique, be as harsh as you want.
Hello again!
I try to learn from Photos a lot lately. Please, give me some critique so i can improve. Thank you for your time![]()
I try more smaller and faster sketches, but already catched myself detailing too much again
Anyways, lots of wip's...the line-thing is a little older, i'll try to color it later. And another attempt at matte painting techniques for that huuuge city... very original, i know but it's practice![]()
Please, i would love to hear some help critiques![]()
nice sketchbook...these are some really cool environment sketches...so keep on posting as much as you canbtw: i noticed that you are alo from germany...kommt ja auch nich so oft vor
and i also have some critique for you:
1) the chinese gate in the first sketch is out of place composition wise....the viewer will look at the person on the balcony and follow the perspective lines towards the center of the image...but this gate is blocking his view to explore the city any further
2) the sun stands very low in the mega-city shots.......which would result in strong cast shadows
Really love your colours, great to see more!
Nice enviros dude![]()
i wish I do environments as good as you even a little less I would take, but I will try to practice hope to catch up to your present level, top level work.
Thank you for the kind words and motivation guys!![]()
Trying some other brushes i found in photoshop etc.![]()
Hi again, happy new year and so
Some pretty recent stuff, the last ones are done using matte painting techniques.
How the #$@ do you do that ??
incredible
Hey Airage. Funny to see you are from Bremen. That`s my hometown, I`m there every two or three weeks
( in welchem Stadtteil wohnst du?)
