I DO agree!
The rendering is great, though the left foot seems out of perspective with the right. Unless the feet are intended to be organic soft matter. I love the wierdness of the whole thing.
fantastic.. well done - JAG
it's only after you've lost everything, that you're free to do anything..
Thanx for the comments ppl! Much appreciated.
The whole thing was an exercise in lighting and form, no deep thought behind it, kinda grew as I went along.
I've attached the line art as well so N'joy.
very good work !

dude, both pieces are awesome, but it is such a pitty that there is so much getting lost of that brilliant pencildrawing in the finished piece. Thanks for sharing - great work...
Nice weird monster. Ilike the colors (red and green, my favourites complementaries), and the ass (in a "looks like its real" kinda way).
Moooore!!!
what the hell...
lol thats badass man, thanks for sharing. Btw, whats up with the head? is that a hat or a boot with teeth? i cant tell..still lol
this has a real "i can learn a lot from this" feeling, especially the minuitiae of the skin folds etc in the pencils. very nice.
sweet job... I like the feminine curves and the WTF?! rest of it...
The pencils are MUCH MUCH better than the finished piece, I love those pencils! You just don't seem to have gone in full heartedly with that 'finished' one, and it still needs work :/
Wow, this is some great work....! although I really like your painted version, your pencils are jaw dropping.. they have a bit of "Huantish" style to them.. and i have a super sweet spot for Carlos's work.... I really hope you have more work to show us.. man... you get me inspired to work in pencils right now... thanks!
Mainloop- man i must be dyslexic.. cuz i thought you asked how many people are on lsd

Cheers man, good crit.
Form
I'm glad you feel this way about the work. if you have any specific Q's let me know.
Thestjester
Well, the head/helmet is roughly designed after a woman's pilgrim hat, at some point I went of on a tangent exploring form. It kinda all made sense to me, the helmet turning into a mouth with this sickly tongue coming out... oh...did I mention she's my version of red riding hood
lewiston
I felt the color let me explore different aspects of detail.
since this wasn't anything specific I had fun rendering with pencil just as much as focusing on the torso and head with the color.
You ppl are asking for it so I must oblige, here is another piece.
I call him PUSHKA, russian for cannon.
I had this idea for quite some time of a sherif type of character that is one with his weapon. I started of with a cliche western theme but this developed into a russian sherif! The effect of western culture on russian life is very pronounced and I love the humor and irony in it.
Anyways...bla bla bla...N'joy

Interesting work, I find that second piece quite amusing.
Nice perspective and colours. Cool texturing, too.

(sorry)
GOD is HOPE
Hot, love the way you handle techie stuff.
nice... but I rather think you color a bit too darkly. the lines of the first illustration you posted are way better then the coloring.. at least for me! kick ass non the less!
