    Steve's SketchBook DECEMBER 14

    well I just recently join CA and im enjoying my stay, i ditched deviantart, cause there commenting just sucks, so im here to get some real comments. i want all your opinions, constructive criticism, i know im not as good as others but i will get there maybe one day

    I also some of Danielc work i got inspired

    This is some kinda creature that came to mind

    Its obvious you are just beginning but I like that you are trying to combine soft and hard edges using different brushes. I'd probably ask that you try to think more in layers or planes of softness. I'd expect the creature's face to be done with harder edges because its the main focal point and then the rest should gradually soften.

    I'd also advise you to look at more work and note how they shift things in light, particularly what colors they use for shadows and highlights.

    And I'd probably be a bit more careful with those brush-marks around the eyes.
