Damn, love your life drawing! I love that you don't second guess your line so much, you've got a lot of confidence. This new study is pretty nice, the eye on the left feels a tad flat, but that's just a quibble. Don't quit those lines just yet.

yeah i noticed that I-no likeness when i saw it in the teen challenge thread. its a nice piece something funky going on in the neck area you have good lines but your painting could use some work in places color schemes being one of the things in particular.

first, the color. pretty terrible. hair is very difficult for me in color. but its a step in the right direction i suppose.

Prophet- i usually have to trick my girlfriend into posing for me or bargain with her. she hates it.

Andy P- thanks for crit- it is flat. i get a headache after going over details in a piece for so long so i think i missed that

Pixeldragoon- sketchboat coming soon. its going to be awesome. we'll sail around the world sketching all of the landscapes.

tie- yeah i realized the similarity to that character about halfway into the initial sketch but i just said screw it. i did actually try to not do skulls as that was very blatant but i couldnt think of anything as cool hehe.

luxun- thanks, i constantly here i should improve my color scheme but i have NO idea how to go about doing that... i study art history a lot so you think that would help but i just suck at it. i think part of the problem is when i envision a piece i always think of it in terms of black and white and lines... maybe if i first started thinking of a piece in terms of color and value.. shit i think i answered my own question haha. now the hard part.

Figures seem to be your strong point. I especially like the form you show on the hands. Getting some good values too. Keep working on the digital stuff, its looking promising. I think you might need more personality in some of your eyes though. Sometimes they look like theyre staring into nothingness.

did you do these straight in Biro? shows a lot of confidence to do that. your linework is on a higher level than your photoshop skills, which im sure your aware off, and your obviously working on that. I need to take a leaf outta your book and practice more in traditional stuff.

i read in a jason manley interview that he would stop movies and draw them. i thought it was a good idea so i broke out the Park Chan-wook movies tonight and started doing this. a lot of them were bad but here are some of the few better ones.

i was at the beech the whole weekend. there are no computers on the beach. but there is figure drawing. and other stuff.

your output is very solid man, great lifedrawings too, sometimes there is some proportion issues and perspective issues but nothing major. i reallu like your way of tackling hands and feet.
