    Arrow Swift (BM) presents- NART!

Here are some pics, feel free to comment. I have only recently started using watercolour, I am pleased with my current results. Be aware that I am aware of the fact that my people are all standing strait.

This is my first watercolour attempt-

This one isn't quite finished, I'm going to put more hilights/shading onto the skin-

My third watercolour attempt, I am quite partial to this one, I outlined it with ink-

This is another watercolour picture, I like his hood thing-

These 2 are yet to be painted-

Hi again, here are some pictures I made on Paintshop Pro 8. They are my first go's at a PP8 image, so they're not perfect!
    This is called Aurora-

This next one is called Aurora Warp, as I used a warp brush to make it look better.

    Remember, CRITIQUES WANTED!

Here's another PP8 image, it's called, quite uninspiringly, Water.

The top half used the emboss brush, the bottom half used the hue changer brush, I changed the hue more around the actual droplets. I gonna start painting one of those unpainted ones today. Also, I've started a creature thing, and I have a mutant thing ready for scanning later!

    Info

Right, I've painted the guy with the spray paint and gas mask. I've drawn a two-headed giant, which I'm going to paint. I've started a page of aliens, they're all from the same planet. I will paint the guy with the shield and club, maybe later. Also, I'll do some more things on PP8.

    hi ben its me
some of these seem familiar for some reason lol
maybe you could try and resize the scans on paint shop so that theyre easier to see

the digital images are quite surreal but i like them 'water' is prob. my favorite
as i said you could try and edit some of the paintings on PsP

as you know, i like them and im glad to see how much youve improved.

ill see you some time after your holiday
    hope you keep drawing

    Thumbs up More Pics

Because of the original size I can't get PP8 to shrink it, so this next batch are still big. The first is the colour version of the one with the gas mask. The second is a mutant, the third is a sheet of aliens.

This one has a native creature, a living gun and a spawn mother-

    hi swift

personally i think that you should concentrate on your drawing and watercolor but thats only my opinion

try and use more variations in colour on your people i think it would look more effective, but again, thats only me
you could also use references to get some poses or something
i think theres a reference thread round here somewhere

    post more soon
i think ill be seeing u next weekend so we shoudl be able to have another creative blitz

I totaly agree with (c). Anatomy should be your main study. It seems like you have good ideas that dont really come out as good on paper. I like all tha robot and gasmask stuff, (thats always a good thing by the way)but you should really study anatomy, positions, weight n so on. So keep drawin and start on them studies! Cheers!
Father Christmas will mess you up.

okok forget 'getting' an anatomy book. For now I would suggest taking a look at some classic artists, just go to boarders or better yet online and draw what you see. Of coarse this should only be done as you begin, it's never good to develop out of someone elses work. But it will teach you variations.

I think taking your work to the basics would help you, your trying to run before you learned to crawl. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it just what I see.

Anatomy is key. Always keep sketching, but you've got to get your mind right first; read, observe, absorb everything you can. Once you have basic anatomy principles down, the rest will be cake, and you can start to take more liberties.

good to see some new stuff, i like the shading style and i think you're getting better at drawing people, although remember to be careful with proportions
