Hello,
I find your anatomy skills on human characters a bit weak, there's a lack of proportion in the area of the feet and hands. Muscles seem to bend and stretch correct though.
But your creatures are awesome.
Keep the good work,
Hi I'm trying out gimpshop right now and I want to present my first work with it

Hi,
I'll take the swordsman as an example, where you have hands a bit too small, lacking parts of the right shoulder and the forehead exaggerated.
But somehow, you manage to get it all work well together so:
nimm's mir bitte nicht über, kumpel.![]()

hey manuel! how could i miss so many updates here? sorry!
really like your monsters, especially the one in post 20. has a very nice sense of weight to it. and the "catch me if you can" character is really dynamic, like that pose a lot. although my favourites have to be the quick and loose sketches like "oblivion". they are your strongest pieces so far, i think. keep them coming, great sb! tschüß und bis demnächst,
stine
Hey dude, fellow doo-er (that came out wrong). Youve got a lot of cool ideas here. Liking the catch me if you can demon, nice head silhouette. One advice i could give is to have more variety in your lines. I notice you go for a lot of thick, dark lines especially around the figure. This is good, but in some cases, it helps to break it up some. Add more values inside the outline too, and maintain long, sweeping strokes with your pencil. Hope to see more from you!
hi stine dear
no 20 was inspired by a plant sculpture in Kristiansand Norway which supposed to show the upper half of a dragons head - not much of that shows in my drawing ^^ only the outer shape
the loose sketches were an assload of fun :]
bis denne Manuel
hey lukavi I'm glad you like it
thx for the advice
I'll update well ... at the weekend, work eats me (I'm not used to it yet)

For someone who is quick to judge me and my work, I would recommend you take a few lifedrawing classes. The people are out of proportion on most of your work.
Your line work is very stiff and lacks a variance of weight.
hey man. you have some good sketches here. I particularly think your handling of drapery looks good.
However make sure the forms below the clothing is still apparent. In post #11 his bent knee is confusing and unclear. Just something to think about.

hey there! so, how's the "zivi" (except exhausting) ?
nice studies, reminds me that i really have to practise feet.yours look really good, especially in the first sketch. that's my favourite of the batch. i really like the slightly more dynamic pose of the second female figure, but there are too many lines for my taste in that drawing. i really like the small face on that page, though. keep them coming, hope you find a little time inbetween your work again. see you!

Don't listen to him. Keep going strong... at least I can see you are actually doing the work needed to become better instead of taking the easy road and tracing others peoples work. -_- like some people

Hi pals,

hey manuel, great to see you keep on sketching beside the job!
like the pose a lot, but somehow the left leg (his right) seems a little short. really like how you dre the knees, though. keep them coming! cheers,
stine
Your concepts are cool, but I think some of the proportions are off a bit at times. Something looks a strange with the shoulders on some of your characters, I think the pecs and the deltoid aren't matching up quite right. The creatures look awsome!
J
I think the last one can still be tidier but it's neater and more proportionally improved than the previous ones I reckon.
stine: thx for showing up hereand for the crits
MisterE: thank you sir! thx for c&c
JERI: well it's ballpen only, which means you can see EVERY line
makes it quite messy
improvement? w00t!
here's a little update

I think you have too many lines in your work. I would like to see you do some pieces on a larger scale, and rather than making all those side by side lines, use a blending stump. That's just my preference there. I think your work would take on a new look if you did that. To me, all those lines were....well, too many lines. They seem to be as......bars....or fence wire......that keeps the viewer back, rather than pulling you in.
This is coming from a guy who is self-taught. If it makes sense, and others agree, try it. Otherwise, ignore it - I am merely trying to give you some meaningfull feedback.![]()
Why was the Devil running? Who was chasing him? Don't really have to answer....I just sometimes wonder about the story behind the pic.

hi g.owen
nice to see you here
about the lines:
most of those pics are done with a ball pen, so I can't blend them the way you descripe
I do this because I love ballpen (and its lines) and cause it's a easy and quick way of sketching (since I don't have too much time)
thx for your thoughts anyway
you seem to me like someone who spends a lot of time for his art (which is definitly good)
