Post Pirates, Vikings, Girls and so forth... Big DL

    Hi everybody,

Been lurking for awhile and I've finally gathered enough nerve to share some of my art.

    Obviously inspired by POC

    Selfportrait

    Rembrandt inspired clown

    Used reference for this one.

Yeah it's Christina Aguliera... Actually I didn't know it was her, when I painted it, I just liked the photo ref I used for her face.

I did this for a bookcover, I was very inspired by the lighting in a masterful painting I saw here on CA. However, I don't remember who did it, but thank you!!

Did this one for a childrens book. It's a fisherman's wife, and she's cranky.

    Same children's book.

Heavily inspired by McFarlanes Twisted Toys' Red riding hood.

    A few fast ones:

velkommen til krede, kan huske jeg har set nogen af dem på tegneordet engang i tidernes morgen. det ser jo godt ud det hele, men må sige at jeg kan lide dine løsere billeder mest, der er så meget liv i
    my sketchbook

I'd say your best pieces are the Christina Aguliera (which didn't strike me as her at first, so you coulda got away with it) and the pirate chick sketch (which I would love to see more of those. Some of the others are a bit hit and miss. Can't crit right now, but I'd like to see more, keep cranking -

Wow! I love all of that work! Some of them I find the faces a bit odd in shape, but the colors are great

They work with a mood I love it. I personally like bright vibrant colors but in this situation it would remove from the feel.

I like the red Jack Sparrow, because it doesn't have to be Jack sparrow!.

    Thumbs up Strong work

Theres a lot of good stuff here. Some anatomical issue some of it. Do more quick sketches/ studies to increase your knowledge.

    Look forward to seeing more!

luxun > Takker I'll reply in english so everybody can understand
Yeah I'm beginning to do a lot of speedpaints, never really done that before, but it's tremendous fun and I like the fact that you can get some ideas down really fast. Yes they do tend to have more life that way

jmiahb > Thanks!! I'm glad you like them

Mr. Visions > Thanks man, arg - shouldn't have mentioned that it was based on Christina then :p Yeah I think that pirate chick turned out pretty well too, I don't do a lot of sketches but I'm starting to. Yes I'll try and do more of that then

Sarcophagus > Thank you you can't miss with a hot chick

Moogle > Thanks man! Yeah I love vibrant colors too. For me the mood is everything. But I'll work more on my knowledge of anatomy

kaktuzlime > Thanks! I didn't think it would be that popular

Sigurd > Yeah I really like it too. Done in 1 hour - so it's a bit blurry and rough. Heh what's a Selkie Pirate Wizard?

e.j.roy> Thank you!! You're right! I'll definitely work on that!

Saikin > Thanks!, my girlfriend will be happy to hear that too, she modelled for both of them
