Hey guys, guess I'll post my intro here.

Name's Carys, I'm a 17-year-old

girl

(har diddley) hoping to someday work as a concept artist. I'm currently working on a project of my own--a graphic novel. I scribble little thoughts and ideas constantly (but I'll keep those to myself in order to A) not scare you away and B) keep me out of a mental hospital

). I do daily anatomy studies and that's mainly what I'll be posting here, along with daily Oekaki chat speed-paintings and other random crap. Oh yes. Anatomy piccus are either referenced from others' sketches, photographs, people in real life, or done without reference... And yeah, they're all a bit stylized but I've had realism shoved down my throat for far too long--oooo, rebel. I'm mostly working on drawing bodies as I've focused on hands, feet, and faces for a long time.

Critique the hell out of them. I'm here to improve.

the studies look reaaly nice to me, maybe you can post some of characters you've created as well? I find it can be a big jump trying to implement what I studied in anatomy to the figures I'm creating.

The comp. sketches in post #13 are pretty neat. are they from reference? also like the kicking gestures in #14. The noses on some of the characters are kinda wonky, like you're drawing the same nose over and over on different people. i do the same thing and just started to give everyone they're very own nose.

i like your style. keep it up!!

J.Peckham, the bottom left and top right ones are from reference. About the noses--yeah, there are a lot of problems that have to do with me not "knowing" my style yet--not being totally comfortable with my art. I'll work on it.

So the first thing that drew me to click was the thumbnail that I immediately recognized as the adorable Jeremy Sumpter =P Which, by the way, is an awesomely done piece! I really enjoy your style, you've got a lot of great stuff! ^_^
