Hey fedezz, that COW entry looks pretty good! The only crit I could give is bring some barbwire into the foreground as for me the stuff in the background looks to exist in some otherworld then him. Looking forward to more COW stuff !

Hey fedezz, that chow is looking fantastic. I also think the barbed wire has problems however, it looks like an afterthought. Either flesh it out, and add some more background and foreground elements, or take it out altogether. ALso you may want to try him with a diff composition as well, the dead center thing is kind of boring. Great job on everything else though, you make me want to try a chow! Keep it up.

lovely stuff in this sketchbook some of the previous pics in the other pages reminded me of HPX, some very nice graphic design elements added in your sketches make 'em look even better. But i didn't see many creatures or animals in here, its always good to practice different things

keep em coming, this is gonna be a kick ass sketchbook

    ciao

I like the idea in your last one, second Gnoll on the design elements - they work quite nice.

Just the background texture/line things bother me as they look too photo real compared to the rest of it, and probably give too much of a contrast. Id use a smart blur on them to get them to match more.

The volume rendering on the skin and graphic elements look sweet. I'd vary the lineweight in the character, it flattens it out a bit. Or throw texture over something. The figure and background don't mesh because there's more texture detail in the background. heheh after that last CHOW I'm all about the texture. Are you using type for the flowing shapes?

Looking good. The others have already given great crits. Elaborating on what blue said, make the lines thicker as the figure comes toward us and make them thinner as they go away. And don't skip over the ear! Its flattening the head out a litlte. Oh, just noticed, there's all sorts of wrong with that forearm thats closer. Looking at the other one, (and looking at my own arm) it should be a lot thicker towards the elbow than it is. Keep up the good work.

haha great work in here. The one thing you need is more!

http://conceptart.org/sketcher/ I will thank forever for providing me with this link.

As to your work...my only crit is when I look at the painted pieces..I get the feeling that the edges could be turn "just a little bit more" in space...they seemt o get a little flat near the edges. I could be wrong though!

Fedezz returns! Welcome back. Brush tests are awesome. Oils are great, but the hat looks completely flat and the hair could use some highlights to pop it. Everything about the mars dude rocks except that hand looks flat. Kind of a weird position for the hand as well. Actually my favorite might be the vector one. Awesome job on that. Only crit there is that i think the man's skirt should have some sort of shadow/indication of darkness between his legs.

Glad you're back, but now i expect regular updates from you! Good luck on the exams.

Hey man, i always love gestures. Line quality isn't too great on a lot of them though. Perhaps gestures is an area you need to practice more. Maybe try ballpoint pen life drawings in a public area since you can't get figure drawing sessions. I like that cowboy concept in that last pic, a painting of him would be cool. Keep up the pace

sweet gestures man. Totally dig those. It looks like oil paintings going to be pretty easy for you. Just realize that it's all medium control paired with your drawing skills. Oil Painting's cool because you can always get better and try new things. Hope you have fun with it, and congrats on graduation, hope everything turns out sweet. Fish hit the main things, and those square fingers are fun.

Awesome start man. He looks like he's about to fall over - tilt his chest back a little bit. And does he have a right hand under those tubes or not? If he does, the metal casing around it should be longer, if not it looks fine as is. Also, it might look cool if you put his ship in the background I look forward to seeing it finished, and i'm enjoying these frequent updates

    Hmmm, very nice

Hey man, that's realy good. Very nice paintings in comp. I am on the begining with painting on PC and it is so strange to me...ooh. But your pics are very inspirational (especialy these on the first page of your sketchbook). Every time I start with painting on comp I became very quicly in stadium of irregular chaos (it is the style of how I am used to paint) and the result is worse than poor.

awsome man, i love the style of the character and his color scheme.
As far as crits. I honestly thought the clouds where stone do to the color and strong angles made by his face in them. Also i think the perspective on the robotic tube on his right arm is a little off from how it looks like his arm is resting.
