    Head Bust In Progress

Hello everyone! I'm nervous/excited to show you my latest sculpt, and hear your feedback.

My main focus with this bust was to practice creating more of a value range within my sculpting. I also wanted to work a little more with hair and try sculpting water. Many of the refinements/smoothing of the details will take place when I bake and sand it, but I wanted to see if you all see any major issues before I do so.

She is a fantasy character I've designed based on photos of a friend. She is a Seer that uses water scrying, which is why she is surrounded by water in her bust.

I use a mixture of super sculpey and sculpey firm (which I've realized is far too soft now, and will add more firm in my next sculpt).

Thank you guys! The hair is definitely one of the most fun aspects of this sculpt. Just looking at the photos, I see some things I need to go back and fix! XD

And Mah'Crub - I need to update my information, apparently! I loved SCAD, but I graduated back in June. The school was a lovely setting, with some great professors. And where I haphazardly learned I can sculpt. What did your son graduate in?

Looks great! I am loving it.
I'd think about leveling out the area between the mouth and the cheeks it's a bit deep and the line that goes all the way up the side of the nose from there, gives her a bassett hound look. I tried to soften them in photoshop to show what I mean.
Also, I tend to make the corners of the mouth line up with the center of each eye, unless you are going for an anime mouth. The eyebrows MAY be a little high, up to you.
