I can't belive this movie is actually being made!!!! Anybody remember a game by the name of Dungeon Seige? Well thats right they're actually making it a movie!!!!! It's called In The Name Of The King : A Dungeon Seige Tale. I have seen the trailer and without further ado here's the address:

It stars Jason Statham yes indeed that man we all know as THE TRANSPORTER!!! This movie has an all star cast such as Burt Renolds, Lelee Sobieski and many others. Check out the trailer its awesome.

Uwe Boll is directing it. He's like a King Midas of the movie world, except instead of gold, everything Boll touches turns to crap.
Have you seen his most recently released effort, Bloodrayne? Probably best to avoid it, lest you gouge out your eyes in boredom and pity for the people who had to actually suffer the indignity of being in such a movie.

what I don't get... is how Ray Liotta, Claire Forlani; and Jason Stratham; got convinced into being in this movie... Kurt Renolds I can understand... but... holy crap! Leelee sobieski and John Rhys-davis?! Uwe Boll must have some kind of hypnotic gaze to get all these people to agree to be in the movie.

I know, I don't understand it. It's like they just ignore everything he's done and say "Hey, I wanna be in this movie! It's gonna be great!".

Maybe they're hard up for work or something. Michael Madsen did some of the worst acting I've ever seen in Bloodrayne, it's amazing how Boll gently coaxes the worst performances out of everyone involved...

It really does look like many of the shots/scenes/ideas were lifted directly from LotR. Not really impressed with it.

Why does Uwe Boll make such crap films? Because he doesn't really have that much to lose if they bomb (other than his dignity as a director and the support of would-be fans). For instance, here's a wonderful quote from the man:

"Maybe you know it but it's not so easy to finance movies in total. And the reason I am able to do these kind of movies is I have a tax shelter fund in Germany and if you invest in a movie in Germany you get basically fifty percent back from the Government."

As for his constant - nay, burning - need to turn video games into films, we have this:

When rumors appeared that Uwe Boll expressed interest in a Metal Gear Solid movie, Metal Gear director Hideo Kojima responded in his audioblog HIDECHAN, "Absolutely not! I don't know why Uwe Boll is even talking about this kind of thing. We've never talked to him. It's impossible that we'd ever do a movie with him."

The question is, when will this guy stop?

Aw crap House of the dead was the shittiest undead movie I ever saw. Even the classic Night of the living Dead in black and white was better. I thought Microsoft would have gotten a better director or at least pushed for a better one considering that the game was a real hit. Someone should shoot Uwe Boll with a potato gun and be done with it.

Here's why Uwe Boll will continue to destroy video game concept movies regardless of humerous online petitions...

1) He's cheap. Germany subsidizes german filmmakers as part of a cultural clause in thier tax code. Simply put, he can recover half of what he spends on a film. Studios know this.

2) If a film costs less than few million to produce it is GUARANTEED profit... even if it goes straight to vid... this is why horror is such a crap genre in general... low overhead high profit automatic audience.

3) Studios don't care if Uwe Boll makes crap as long as they make money. Which they always will when he directs for the reasons listed above.

4) The video game industry is aparantly wrought with whores who don't care if thier product is sullied and therefore will sell out to anyone promising profit. There fore 1 - 3 can be reapplied here.

I think that the clause in mention has since been amended ( don't quote me on it though).

Anyone see Ultraviolet? That reeked of Uwe Boll's magical fuck up. Good action, decent plot, Mila Jovovich (only reason I saw the movie). But the acting was just SHITTY! I couldn't believe it...
