who could help me with a vector number on object in photoshop?

i want to create the 8 on the 8-ball.

i want only the top of the 8 showing from back-right coming over the top to front. i want to have only the tip of it. So i need a mirrored 8 as vector mask, but i dont know which tool so use?,

would somebody like to show me his skills, bring the 8 on it, explain me how you did it and let me try?

im using photoshop 7

the problem was, i thought its hard, because i have to flip the image backwise
