Been doin' some studies for the past few months. These dravings are done under instruction. Note that the cast ear was pimped by my teacher. Rest are more or less mine. All are graphite on paper.

How much have you practiced anatomy in these 2 years of your sketchbook?

I'm trying to start updating more often again. I was so busy for a few months I didn't even have energy to post my stuff in here. I've been painting and drawing a lot though.

As for the anatomy thing. I havent really seriously done anatomy studies in ages. I did some loomis etc. stuff couple of years back. I've been doing life drawings and studies though. These days I've been thinking of starting to practice anatomy again.

I got pictures of couple of portrait paintings I've done at school. They are oils (burnt umber and white) from life.

Thanks guys. Maybe I didn't quite nail the likeness of the models. They are also done from the same angle and in identical lighting. dunno. I'm gonna try harder with the facial features next time.

I just got a B.A degree (or something close to it) in last June.In september I started a one year program where I study drawing and painting fundamentals under teachers from st. Petersburg's Art Academy. Cheers guys!

This was a tricky assignment. We were to portray a mode from three different angles. Don't think I really nailed the likeness in all of them.

I'd really like to hear some feedback from this.

really like the surreal stuff just absurd enough and the graphic touches set them of to a tee.

On the last piece your shading is pretty damn good as a whole, but your measurement of the faces is off. The middle portrait has a considerably longer face/forehead. The right hand portrait has a more masculine face structure, nose is more rounded, jaw is stronger than the other two.
