Ooo...Vista! I almost upgraded to XPpro 64, but I read about lots of people having problems with older software. Even though they said it flew through programs made for a 64bit OS they felt it didn't have enough software support yet. I wonder how backwards compatible Vista will be?

jfwalls, i really dont know much about vista either, they announced the specs you need for it, and they seemed ok for a gamer, but to anyone that hasnt been gaming lately, its a bit steep.

should i bother getting an xbox 360?
i'm skeptical since plenty of games coming out on it that are decent will be available for PC, since both platforms are very similar.
we all know that xobx 360 is more powerful than the PS3.

well the consoles have alot of games the pc jsut doesnt have like assassins creed, mass effect, gta4(for awhile at least), gears of war, dead rising... i could go on and on, 360 is the best buy for the consoles this year at least.

only thing i cant get on my 360 that i truely am excited about are warhammer mark of chaos, spore, and hellgate london

I emailed the company a few months ago asking if they were planning a 360 release, and they said they were very interested in doing that. They had said they were planning an xbox release for the original but they decided to scrap it because the 360 was getting ready to ship. If I had to guess I would say they will release a 360 version down the road, and I will buy it the day they do.

September 27, 2006 - Today at X06 Redoctane and Activision announced that Guitar Hero II will be available for Xbox 360.

The president of Redoctane is quoted in the press release stating: "The tour will continue the rockin' gameplay Guitar Hero fans have come to enjoy, and will now include expanded Xbox 360 capabilities. With Guitar Hero II for Xbox 360 rock rhythm, lead, or bass guitar tracks with downloadable content and the new X-Plorer controller, designed specifically for the Xbox 360."
