What do you use Photoshop for if you mainly use Painter? Or visa versa.

Hello all, I just received the painter book from ballistic publishing today and noticed that lots of the artists say that they used both Painter and Photoshop on the pieces including the very talented Jason Chan and Alekisi .
This got me thinking what things people use Photoshop for when they mainly use Painter or even the other way around.
I often end up noodleing around with a bit of work from Painter in Photoshop as I feel the image manipulation and the colour altering features are better.

The more I though about this the more it interested me (I know it’s sad), so…

What do you use Photoshop for if you mainly use Painter?

ctrl-click on PS is a plus ! So I think artist use Photoshop 'cause it's easy to make environments. It's good for photo manipulation and all stuff where you don't draw. I think it's the best for the matte painters.

Painter is good for the brushes, for drawing, etc, so that's why artist like it. It's more like a traditional canvas, with a lot more possibility then PS.

I use PS for all of my blocking in, Painter for my detail. I also use PS for my super-textural brushes, if I want something to really look rough. (tree bark, etc.)

I use ps for everything >___>

maybe im just a tool, but im far more comfy and efficent with it. I find painter leaves much to be desired. but yeah prolly a personally preference. I think painter prolly has a better brush engine to an extent but i have yet to really find something useful that i cant do in pS
