The man with the tree truck on his head looks awesome! Really like the idea of it - it reminds me of those trees with roots that grows out of the sidewalk. http://img.izismile.com/img/img5/201...far_640_04.jpg
thanks for visiting my sb, I can really see improvement in your sketches, especially your sense of forms and linework are getting better and better, keep it up, will check back for sure

great work so far.. the sb is coming along well. My main criticism is one that a lot of people struggle with, including myself, which is to try and make sure your colours aren't too saturated. Try to make them less saturated (less pure, and more "gray") in general, and specifically for you, I would say remember that colours in the distance are always less saturated and more grey, often tending towards blue because of atmospheric perspective.
Anyway, try this out, I'll do a little overpaint for you here:

great to see you come back here, i see you started this ages ago. keep up the good work
Hi Thx for the comment.
I'm bad at giving critique but I'll give my best to help u somehow.
First you definitly improved over the pages you now have better linework and more detail in your drawings.
Try to concentrate more on lineweight instead of drawing every line the same thickness/ brightness.
Make darker/thicker lines where the shadows are and lighter/thinner lines where light hits the surface.
Hope it helps in some way.
good work keep it up!

Are these sketches all from imagination Tef? Theyre very cool, I think it'd look awesome if you could add a bit of BG they'd be in (if you want to), just they look like they'd be from pretty strange enviornments that might be interesting to add!
Thx all
ThomasM >> Thank you for your explanations !!

Thanks for visiting my thread!
Nice work here as well! There is a clear progress in your sketch related media! Keep up sketching and you'll get good really fast!
Hey, thanks man.
Nice to see so many pencil stuff, but i do have some suggestions, like, break objects into simple shapes, and shadow is an edge, so you know where to do dark or big shadows, to these large sides of shapes. you can create great illusion of realism with only one tone of dark shadow, and then later add lighter shadows to enforce the realism. or this how i do it anyway, from dark to light.
Keep it up.

That's amazing for a first painting! I think you'll really benefit from doing more studies like that to hone your observational skills. Maybe when you feel up to the challenge you can try studying a colored photo so that you can start tuning your sense of color as well.
Solid work so far, keep it up!
Solid first go at painting! You could stand to add some highlights to that cheek and nose to really help turn the form in space.

I think it's really awesome that you're posting your stuff again, I understand how sometimes other stuff can come up and take you away from drawing and painting, but keep at it! Good luck!
