You have vision, and have mastered the skills you will need to create concepts, at least as far as environments are concerned. Great stuff!

Great job on those environment designs!
You have improve a lot since you started this thread few years ago and is nice to see the changes from the work you've show to us.
Will love to see some exploration on characters if you don't mind.![]()
clicked on an image on the front page of CGhub and it was yours... went through all your work on there and wanted more. checked to see if you had a website, and it led back to my favorite place in the world, here.
So I went through your sketchbook.
And I gotta say that I love your process and how you achieve all your final results. Textures, lighting.. enviros, characters... everything. Love it love it love it.
I can't say that I'm shocked you had positive reviews throughout your SB. So here's another! please keep going!!

WOW guys, thanks so much for all of your kind comments! I'm feeling lots of pressure not to disappoint any of you, please kick my ass if I do (half the reason why my updates take so long to do....).
Today is a VERY special day for me, it marks 5 years since I embarked on this journey to become an artist - started painting and drawing with my trusty Intuos2 (sadly I wasn't part of ca back then)!
I have to say, this was the best decision I have made thus far in life. It's been an incredible journey and I can't wait to see what's to come! So yeah, this post marks off the 5 year milestone, it will be really interesting to look at this post in 5 years time.
So here is another finished wip, I'll try to make my future updates a little more substantial as I feel bad about putting out one crummy thing every so often...(I blame work and ndas!!!!):

It's cool to see how much progress you've made over the years. The last one is really good! I don't think you should worry too much about disappointing, hehe.![]()
Whoooooooooooooooooooo congrats on the five years man! Looking awesome there, how's it gonna look in another five? =0 Keep rocking!
5 years already? gosh time flies... the constant hard work for those years paid off, but the journey only began =) keep it up man!
rayk is currently viewing this thread?! Well I hope you're updating!
The colours on the last one are fantastic, love the dual moon thing too, it sets a great scene which tells an interesting story.
wow looks awesome! congrats to the 5 years! keep sharing man!
you're a far ways from an asskicking right now.
You're an artist, not a meat camera. -Elwell
Hey man congrats on the 5 year milestoneYou keep getting better! On the most recent one I think the guy makes a tangent with the pillar in the background - I'd move him to the right a little more so his head silhouettes against the water in the distance. Your color and form keep getting better, keep it up - don't be afraid to make more updates, I doubt you'll let anyone down

So, another really lame and small update, I figured it's probably better than not updating at all...Part of the reason is that I've been addicted to Peter F hamilton - Pandoras' Star and now I'm on to Judas Unchained (awesome books, epic, awesome!!). Again sorry for the long wait, hope next update will happen quicker!

Can't believe this thread has not 5 stars.
The environments are fantastic - make me dream instantly how it would feel to be there. I don't have that with many concept pieces.
Lovely updates rayk, and happy five years !!!![]()
Mmm, really nice piece; great composition. But, wouldn't the water be lighter?
