nice stuff dood
Texahol- Thanks man, I'll probably start doing some more full pieces and studies. I really should stop this long term break and start making some progress again...
Cwn- I wish my wacom was working . I got a value study coming up soon enough though.
Amontillado- Yeah, that's a good point. I dunno why ears are so troubling for me...
Evil- Thanks man.
Teh Gosu- Yeah, I've been trying to keep that and still loosen it up a bit... Thanks.
Some more sketches, unless something goes horribly wrong ala hurricane or apocalypse, I'll have some gestures and a value study in the near future.
Welp, after trying to do gestures I realized how bad I am at them and now I'm going to completely go from scratch and restart anatomy completely. Another quick update.
I love the creativaty and the shading. God job.
love the eyes! love the chicks and the hatching AWSOME!
Please visit my sketchbook ….I love the feed back
The greatest achievement is selflessness.
The greatest worth is self-mastery.
The greatest quality is seeking to serve others.
great stuff, your hatching is really mature, are you using other artists as reference when doing those though? they remind me a lot of lungbug.
i would like to see you take things more serious and produce more often, especially by doing some studies.
you have a lot of potential, but i'm not seeing you really strive for it.
iceman478- Thank you
davi- Nope, I try to avoid imitating any style and yeah, I agree.
Apathy- Yeah, just been in a rut the last... year or so art-wise ;[
1-5 minutes each.
...no, I got it right the first time. u cow
keep it up light, really concentrate on those proportions.
I agree with IA, more studies, and some more completed stuff. Invest some time in your works!
Light, you don't know how much potential you have, do you?
You little ginger minx, don't waste it! Beautiful fluid lines...would love to see yourself pushing harder. I can only dream of weilding a pencil like that with my ham fists.
MOAR! FASTER! *whips*
Bumface- Thanks, trying to do more.
Sketch- Thank you!
Texahol- Ughhh fiiiiine.
Cwn- Thanks Working on it.
Apathy- Roger that
A little non-study work for today. Breaking in a new sketchbook.
PHATAndy- Thanks for stopping by, cheers.
Decided to try and redo one of the images from earlier. All imagination except the dino head. Roar goes the dino.
Hatching and lines are wicked. Now get to work!
Cwn- Soon as my wacom starts working arghhh pld:
Saera- Thanks, hehe, getting right on it
Alright, studies coming tommorow. A quick sketch for the tc and a random page.
Trying to take my time with studies.
Matt- Cheers man
Here's some reffed portraits. If they look remotely correct, rest assured that they look nothing like the reference.
As always, beautiful stylisation. Just watch for the placement of facial features (mouths and eyes drifting off place)...would love to see you try and play with stronger/darker hatching. That would really make your pieces 'pop'.
Youuu caan dooo eeet!
Cwn- Yeah, some of the placement is really off.
In order to try and remedy that and practice ref a bit, I did a few more portraits. All reffed except for the page of shitty torsos.
looking good light I love the top right sheet, what beautiful faces, and I /dig/ the stylization big time
“It is enough that we set out to mold the motley stuff of life into some form of our own choosing; when we do, the performance is itself the wage.”
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom the emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause and stand wrapped in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed." ~Albert Einstein
