Scanner Installation Help :(

I bought a Visioneer 6600.
I also bought a Soyo USB 2.0 PCI Card - 4 ports.
I have Windows 98.
The USB card works apparently http://www.phaitaccompli.com/sysusb.gif

but Windows is not recognizing the scanner plugged into the USB port(s) - the software that comes w/ the scanner looks for the scanner but says "Scanner not connected"

I've tried support @ Visioneer's site and.. I'm just frustrated. Any input you may have on this, thanks because I really want to get my art up!

I'm going to return the 2.0 USB card and get an older model today. (Admin) delete this thread - sorry/thanks

got a 1.0 usb card, scanner works i'll upload sketches to my site soon
