    NEW PHOTOS, updated 26 march

I didn't do anything to these after scanning, apart from "autolevels" in photoshop.

Cracking almond nuts fresh from the tree. They taste sweet and rich.

    ABOUT TIME!
I like em all! There something about capturing moods that you are really good at, the elderly photo and the last one "Who is it?" capture moods really well!
My only comment is that "who is it?" should be tilted a bit to keep the horizontal plane perfectly horizontal.
    Nice work Beaton

Thanks very much, Claude, for your comments & praise. I'm not too bothered about the angle of the last one - sort of adds to the mood in my eyes, but you're probably right!

Thanks again, I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

hi there! "nothing to say" is my favourite - i always admire photographers who can catch persons (i suck at it...). the only tinytiny thing that bugs me about the picture is that i would've liked to see her hand a bit more. but that's just a minor detail. great ones, would like to see more!
oh, and by the way: happy birthday!

Haha, thank you very much for your comments and wishes.

Are you concerned about the level of sharpness in my pictures? I posted these on the german site, deviantphoto.de, and everyone is always going on at me about my pictures not being sharp enough. Is that what all Germans desire of photographs? I think they are adequately sharp.

your photos have a wonderful feeling to them, my only suggestion (and this is just a personal preference) is to try and keep your photos simple. It seems to me that the only thing detracting from any of these photos is that there is just too much to look at! For example, in your picture of the woman reading and on the phone if you had shot at a lower f/stop you could have dropped out the background a bit more and left the focus in the foreground where it was meant to be. Also, if you had just turned your camera a bit to the right in that shot of the woman and left out that wooden panneling on the left it would be much better than it already is, or maybe just tilted the the camera to make the door verticle!
