I wish actors would shut up and act. Who cares what their political views are! Being an actor in no way makes you an authority on anything but acting. I don't care which side of the asile you fall. Being famous doesn't make you smart. I quickly becoming old and grouchy and in no mood for hairbrained ideas.

Anna Nichole Smith, Nicole Richie & Paris Hilton.... Put all their brain matter together and you may be smart enough not to piss yourself...

You could say the same thing about any profession, even (eep!) concept artists.

The ladies scubasteve mentions are not actors, just celebrities.

Thats true Simonl, but then again Im not out there telling people "heres how it should be" either. Even that would be ok, but Im sick of these people thinking their ophinons count more then others, because of their fame. Also the "ladies" I mentioned are actors or at least have been on tv and movies. My point is, most of these people have no idea what life is like for the rest of the world. They have sheltered lives, inflated egos, and are constantly told how great they are by everyone around them. The majority of them don't do anything for themselves and live in an imaginary bubble that they think is reality.

Well, appearing on screen doesn't necessarily make you an actor. The ladies you mention are eye candy.

Anyway, I don't think anyone should be discouraged from finding a worthy cause they believe in and devoting time, energy and money to it. Whether you're rich and famous or poor and unknown, active involvment in your community and your political process is essential for social progress.

Invading Colombia is a dumb idea though.

Yeah, the movies they have appeared in have very little acting going on. Anna Nicole was in several movies, and Paris was in House of Wax, I think, or some other b-flick...

Me either, what I object too is the pias "spelling?" attitude with which it often comes.

    Yeah, invading Colombia? Thats loco...

Piety and preachiness get on my tits big time.

As for invading Colombia, Harrison Ford already tried that in Clear & Present Danger. It didn't turn out too good

Popularity makes a politician, in any case, popularity makes your ideas count as more important than other ideas just because more people are listening, in any case.

It doesnt matter if you are a circus clown or a proffecional mime, if you are "popular" people will hear what you have to say, no matter how stupid it might be...

...And in a world were stupidity and ignorance rule, most people will become convinced of anything they hear from anyone popular enough to be heard.

I personally like B.Willis as an actor, but to invade another country is just a bad idea......As said in the same story, the problem isnt in Colombia, the problem is that America and Europe actually buy this stuff, if they stop Colombia, they will just find some other drug to buy.

But between an action hero becoming the gobernor of California and a vice president confucing a person for a quill....i say just dont listen to anyone but yourself.
