Nifty creature studies. Love that first zombie chick. The wips of your assignment look really impressive. I take it those are traditional? What size are you working at for those?

Nice work. You should boost the .jpg quality though, good work should get equally good presentation. I really like your zombies!

Some good creative stuff man, the sword gestures are really ace, i love em. Perspective stuff seems good but your colouring seems to lack quality, seems really very rough and edgy, try using more strong sharp highlights and dark areas, contrast. Glowing overcolours, not seperate colours for like everyshape.

Good stuff though keep it up.

https://tiger.towson.edu/~kichik1/images/3-17-06.jpg is rather awesome. It might look a bit better onscreen if you did some contrast adjustments to make the darks darker, but that's not a knock on the drawing.

The cityscapes and other environment stuff show cool ideas, great composition, and just lots of architectural skill in general. They do look very rough around the edges though...Like if I look at them from far away they're fine, but when I get closer I'm seeing a lot of ugly noise around the linework. I think some of this is due to jpeg compression, but maybe those areas could use some refinement.

Anyway, good stuff Thanks for stopping by me book.

On some of your pictures the anatomy is funky, and some it is good. Keep up the good anatomy. I also like your asian inspired theme and gesture drawings.
Something you can work on is your face lines.
Remember that facial features, especially eyes, have sobe horizontal to eachother. On a few of your heads one of them is a bit higher than the other.

    Keep on Drawing.

i like your quality of line. good stuff!

i think your figures need some improvement though. I would start with proportions (although they get better in the last gestures)

    keep it up!

thanks for visiting folks. digital painting is a challenge, extreemely difficult for me since i have never been a particularly strong traditional painter.

    practice, practice, practice.

here are some value studies. the two female figures are from some contour drawings from a year ago that i scanned today and then painted. the gesture page is from this afternoon, waiting for class to start.

as always comments and crits are more than welcome.

    draw!

Man, I'm really diggin those model drawing a lot. Top notch. I like those enviros a lot too, I think I actually prefer the B/W to the color. If you work that way again (starting with a B/W study, then going to color) I'd say try and stay closer to the values you lay out in the B/W piece because they obviously already work. Nice stuff!

thumbnails for an illustrator assignment. my take on a candy ad/billboard/projected image of the future.

    and the resulting illustrator ad.

this is a wip that i am struggling with, painting digitally should not be this hard, but it is. still struggling with a process that works for me.

thanks for looking, crits always appreciated.

    draw!
