Assistance with medieval armor.

I'm thinking of starting a sketch dealing with an "evil" type of knight, although I'm at a struggle point with the armor and such. If anyone has any tips or images that I could use as a reference for help it would be greatly appreciated, I haven't found many useful images yet unfortunately

Posing isn't a problem, I just need a better idea of the concept behind armor.

better still, where do you live? you may be near a museum with suits of armor on display, many cities have one. You can learn so so much more from direct observation
