hey thx, that madee my second side in the sketchbook
denysuik: haha
Jero: I already have em+ alot of other anatomy books
Seer:thx
NikitaDarkstar: yeah i know i fudged the last one up with too big
brush and a very bad background (did the background first)
the train is abit refed
![]()
make smoother surfaces (more brush strokes?), some bigger contrasts, more sharpen edges (everything is too...too... round...)
But nice try... and grasssssss![]()
Well, perspective and motion are nice, the smoke doesn't look believable, though. Don't be ashamed of using refs, in fact, they are the ONLY way to learn. How else would you know how to draw a train if you have never seen one?
Btw, congratulations to your 2nd page!I was ver yproud when I was where you was, comment-wise!

well I guess Denysiuk is right this time, I just had to rush through it..
(my mum were yelling at me in the background, so I really rushed it , sorry bout that)
but heres a new pic, for a project.
I thought about what you said about the brush also.

Wow. I've just realised second time that you are 14 year oldpld:
![]()
You are making steps... keep on
P.S. ...Refs,Refs,Refs...
I guess thats good XD
heres one by ref..
and... I figured out that Conceptart.org have a pretty good reference
libraryI thought it was only alot nude photos in there

Great and steady improvement!
Thanks for stopping by my sb...
Drawing from ref is helping you and a great way to learn, but don't neglect drawing from the world around you. Make sure to draw things in front of you also (like you were doing before... I know the subject matter is ususally boring, but stick with it..) I feel very comfortable drawing using a pic ref, but trying to draw from life in front of me and I don't know what to do...that's what I'm working on now...
hey thxyour sb is great dude!
its very nice to hear that im improveing
and thx for your words!
btw: Im drawing a bike helmet right now.. I try to post it later.
You seem to be making some good progress, just keep at it! It would be interesting to see some more of those anatomy studies, and some more vehicles.

Tutorials Tips and Tricks needs you to stay alive!"
oh yeah, Im doing anatomy studies in my "non-digital" sketchbook
so well, I try to post it as soon as I fix my scanner.. its so frusterating with
the camera, since I have to switch battery every single time :argh:
And we have one of the most activ members of our SSG group![]()
My advice: Make longer lines not so short ones! Put some bounced light under the plane (this black space looks not so good)
P.S. thanks for ref.![]()
oh I see what you mean denysiuk
I will read the prometheus tutorial over some time again..
One last before midnight
well.. I tried to put ALOT of contrast into it..
went pretty quick.. I guess around 10-15 minutes...
but em.. I have headache.. and I had it from this morning so I cant
be to creative today

da....
one more...
about 25 min...
i know those 2 last isnt to good.. just feeling for posting em

i think your skills are improving quite fast, without u noticing it.
Best thing to do is to train yourself not to rush it and take time on detail...
its details that creates an image!
Dang, I can't possibly keep up with your updates, man! You're improving, indeed, just don't forget to toss in some lifedrawing inbetween!![]()
Cold: Yeah, that what they tell meI gotta try spend some more time, even those extra minutes on my sketches..
thx for you input!
Faust:
well heres some traditional stuff i did over the night..
some also from yesterday.
(I have forgotten my second sketchbook in school... )
I tried to decreased the size of the images. so the thread wont take so long
to load

You're really improving fast!
Keep up the pace!
My sketchbook - Please take a look and help me progress!
hey thx for your input man
I will try to update soon.. !
yo, heres

![]()
Oi, nice heli, is it from ref?
yeah it is :/

(its only my stuff i view)

nicely done, although I must say I was the one that made you draw a female...![]()
soooooo wow I will just say wow to your awsome aptitude (talent)
rolo
Eep, its been a while since I last commented, I'm so sorry! Glad to see you've been working hard ^_^
The figures here are great, that's the kind of thing that really helps. You've got some great poses going on, but watch your proportions, especially the legs. Your lines are a bit sketchy, although I can understand it being hard to do clean, confident lines with a pen. Good work on the muscle studies, and the hands are looking really good too.
Your digital works here all look very fuzzy. Try putting in hard details, otherwise they end up looking very out of focus. Your shading also seems to suggest you need some work on simpler shapes first to get how shadows and things work (haha same here!).
The background of this one is intriguing. I'm a bit confused about what the figure is doing with his hands though.
Woo okay, your digital works and shading get really really good after this point! The headphones stood out for me, maybe because of the shadow or something. Very impressive, you're obviously working really hard! Still, it would be nice if you threw in a few traditional pieces and some more anatomy studies in there somewhere. Keep it up!
EDIT: OMG you have a second page O_o I haven't looked at it yet, I'll post on that in a sec!
hey thx chisa
yeah, you share my opinion about the digital work.. I really think
i getting better since i started those studies
heres a little quick thing
for a project. (it isnt the final one since the pose is boring and the highlight is so dull and ugly..)
id better post this one 2, 5 minutes of refineing...
Photobucket seem to go fine today
(I will change the weapon as soon as i find some cool reference.)

Continued comments for page two that I missed!
The train looks excellent! The background could use a little more work, but you seem to have moved away from the fuzzy thing and getting more solid shapes in there. Woohoo!
The cave thing is cool, what kind of project is it for? You've got some nice shading going on, although some of the squiggly bits take away from the effect a bit.
The plane looks very plane-like... don't have much to say there, but the shading is looking good. Nothing wrong with naked people references though!
I like the greens in this one, although the person's arms look a bit off.
Yay for more traditional work! I'm feeling that your heads are a little on the small side though. Some human referenced things would be good
The second woman on your second-to-latest post is looking a bit masculine. I'd say her head is too small (its actually about the same size as her breasts O_o), she needs more of a neck, and for some reason the positioning of her right arm looks off. Sexy legs though!
Your latest ones maybe need some more shading? With the amount of black its looking very flat. It's also difficult to see the direction of the light source.
Phew! I'm going to try and comment every time you update now, so I don't have to rush them all at once!
hey thx for you verrryyyyy looooonnnnggg comments
well the project is for an HL2 mod.
(da grey dude in green enviro I didnt thought about his arm till now, it impossible to bend that long backward.. or evven if it is impossible it would hurt)
And the girls head, I thought i wrote that i thought it was alittle to small..
but nvrmI ll try to draw alot more over next coming weekend (when Im on a ski trip ) and i have bought some anatomy books from a swedish book website
I think i'll recive em at thuesday.. hoppefully (bridgeman)
i really gotta go for the anatomy...
well, about my new one, I thinking about re do the whole character
since (as I already said) messed up the lights.. it just look.. dull.
thx again for posting Chisa![]()
20 min sketch..
