Hey, nice updates man! Your recent female characters show a lot of personality in their faces. The "comic style" especially.
I like the colors and the design of the last one. You might want to check her spine though. That curve is sharp and probably painful. The hand is also not gripping the handle as it should.
Lastly, draw those sexy legs, man! Since you've been studying you should do your gals the favor!![]()

The colours look alot better when they are bold like in the last pic. You have some nice designs in the characters too.
Post some of your comic when you are done!

As always, your toon'd female stylings are impeccable. And the color work is really turning out nicely too, I'm impressed!

Eon: Now that I look at it again, she does look way too stiff.
Unedibleapple: Thanks, I was really concentrating more on the coloring than the actual character. Here's another comic panel for you.
Pistol: I won't stop!
majinpunisher: Thanks for continually checking up on me.
blah....i'm feeling kinda burnt out...but I''ll push through it. Crappy week at work mainly killing my drive. The weekends almost here though! Here's all I feel like posting right now.

sky pirate....

Hey, those pen sketch birds really rock! Really really nice! Girls looking good and fashionable too! Watch out for the last one's balance though, she's going to tip over and fall.
The sky pirate riding one of those birds could be interesting.

Love the figure studies. MORE MORE MORE!!!
Hey, did you enter LMS? If not, hurry up, Cody just upped it to 360 contenders so theres still room!
Sky pirate is awesome! although her right thigh looks a little short to me. Great figure studies! Keep the cool designs coming.

Eon: Animals are harder to draw than I thought. The birds were fun though. Yea, the sky pirate chick looks like she should be tilted to the left a few more degrees. I have a problem with keeping my balance and proportion in check the larger I draw. I guess I need to step back from my work more and double check everything. It seems like it's way easier for me to draw accurately when I draw small. Sky pirate on the bird might be cool, but I got another chracter I posted earlier that goes with the crane.
Chance.: Dude, I totally didn't even know what LMS was until today! Thanks for telling me. Now I know and I signed up. I sounds fun..it might push me to work harder.
Koto Stomp: Thanks, I was having second thoughts about that thigh too. I redrew it a couple times. I guess It's still not right.
Another small update:
a quickie before I go to sleep. I really should draw more guys. Next character I post will be a dude for sure. I just felt like drawing some long legs...
Edit: I just realized i forgot to draw the shaft going all the way across.....oops.
I cleaned up my room today...now I gotta sort through the stacks of sketches and find something post worthy...
More thought into the gestures will give the characters more individuality. Like here: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1194757210 She's leaning with attitude but her hand is just resting on her hip passively, have her make a fist and it'll look more butch, put a sneer on her face, experiment with the angle of that cigar and how she holds it, get some animation in there.
You also mentioned not drawing enough dudes. If you'd rather draw women then practice getting as many different types of women as you can think of. They can all still be attractive, but different types of it, not just all japanese cuteness. Get ref, Rosario Dawson and Michelle Rodriguez are pretty badass, Catherine Zeta Jones has a different sort of sexyness than Natalie Portman, and whatnot, you don't need me to explain it.

armando: Great points armando. I usually don't reference any faces for my characters so they just kinda come out uninspiring sometimes. I'm definately trying to tip the scales more towards dudes right now, I just have to learn how to come up with interesting guy characters. Great feedback as always.
Tying up loose ends here. I don't know if I'm done yet.
doodles for today...
I love your ballpoints (I'm assuming that's what they are)
Keep up the great linework, 'tis pleasing to my eyes
drd: Thanks. I've using pencils a bit more lately, but I just can seem to get lines I like with them.![]()
Here's some color practice. Quick wipage..
Mm, better modeling but could use some hue shifts!
Also, methinks facial features need to run parallel to each other no?
......
Idiot Apathy: Your tips are always appreciated. Once you said that..the mistake was glaringly obvious. Thanks.
drd: I think I'm gonna go back to pen.
Here's another color experiment. I'm just drawing random panels...I need to make a full page.
cleaned up..
i like your line work
spaceman....
Sorry none of these comic pages make sense, I need to finish some consecutive pages...and I need to work on storytelling.![]()
