You got my vote for sure, Kronos. Great execution, especially with his expression. The "Home Sweet Home" sign is a nice touch as well.

EDIT: Shouldn't there be a set date for the closing of the poll? One week from now should be sufficient.

Also, is there any particular reason this isn't an open poll? I ask only because making a poll open is generally the best way to discourage sneaky people from voting for themselves.

and @ Plate, yeah sorry, this is my first time posting a poll and didn't have much of a clue what to do.... do you know if i can change it to an open poll? (unopen poll is the default i guess) and about the set date, if there is a way to edit the poll then i'll change it to automatically close in a week..... but doing that manually isn't exactly hard.....

I've never posted a poll myself, so I'm really not sure if it's possible to switch it to open now. If not, no big deal.

And for the closing date, there's no need to automate it, it's just that upon posting a poll, it's common practice to state exactly when that poll will close. If you didn't have a set date and you closed the poll at an arbitrary point in time during a close contest, you could be accused of practically choosing the winner yourself.

But nevermind that, one week it is.

oh, and i was sure i had seven votes a couple days ago, what gives? i didn't think anyone could edit their votes

oh well, i think another "teen challenge" should be thought about soon, even though voting hasn't finished, it would be cool to make this relatively regular, what do other people think?

I agree, Kronos - 12 votes for 200 views doesn't exactly add up. As for the missing vote, it's likely the result of a database error that happened a couple days ago. Manley said they had to restore some corrupted data tables with some backups from a few days earlier, so a few bits of minor data were lost in the process.

I know voting has several more days to go, but I think it's safe to say that you cleaned house on this one. Nice job man, you deserved it. I'm up for another one, and if we make this a relatively regular thing, I'll participate as much as my schedule allows.

Thanks for the input, guys. Considering all these suggestions, the general topic idea I'm getting is a War Machine. I know this sounds a lot like killing machine (the topic from teen challenge 1) but considering nearly all the entries for that were creature/character concepts, I think we could differentiate from it by defining a war machine as more of an industrial design, meaning something mass produced and entirely mechanical.

It'd be fairly open to interpretation, you could make a robot, a mech, a tank, an aircraft, or so on. Open medium again. Any thoughts?

And Kronos - I'm fine with extending the deadline, maybe we could even get more participants by doing so. What timeframe did you have in mind?

Nah, I have faith in you. Your suggestion of "extreme robot of ultimate doom!" would even work for this, just make sure it's more mechanical than it is character. I really considered making that the topic at first, but then I figured that a broader subject matter would get a more diverse response.

Three weeks sounds good, though. I'll post the contest thread soon, once I get the dates figured out.
