Very very cool. I can't say I have seen a take on a mermaid with an octopus body. Great idea. And that's one damn moody sky. One thing that stood out a little for me was the shading on the aureole around her nipple. It seems at odds with the light source on the nipple.

And the shading where her arm meets the rock makes me think it has been amputated. Would be nice to see it leaning on the rock in a way that suggests it is holding her weight a little more obviously. Perhaps with a glimpse of her hand too.

Well, iomoon, the evil Succubus Queen on the little mermaid had the octopus body. This image is really nice. Though it looks like her arm is sunk inside the rock. Could be a perspective problem with her distance from it. Anyways keep up the good work.

very cool. love the colors.
Only crits i have:
How flat the green color of the ship is. i think you could make the ship's color more interesting.

And it struck me that her head looks disconnected from her chest, like her head is pushed back. Might take some fiddling.

Well i guess the ship could be more intersting... I work very hard on composition and on the way i paint for now, so your comment is reaally appreciated! Thx ^^
