Howdy from Scott Fischer NEW ART 7/06 - 3 pieces

Hey-hey-hey y'all, Conceptart.org keeps popping up in chats with JonFoster, Irene Gallow, Dan DosSantos etc. So I just had to check it out.

Hot Damn y'all are a busy bunch! It is like there is an organized army out there I never knew about!

Y'all are prolly like, 'Who the hell is Scott Fischer?' I think I ask myself that every day!

But here is some recent art, (Hope I added the link correctly) and if you feel so inclined, check out my website, though it's in dire need of an update!

    Best,
    Scott Fischer

    holy shit are those good,
Remembering these I'm going to have to either work extra hard in my figure painting class or just skip it and go get drunk a lot instead.

    Hope you post some more

    awesome!!!

First Manchess and now Scott Fisher. We already have Tristan, Dan and Irene spending like a gazillion hours on here instead of working. Maybe if we get all the pro's addicted then they'll stop painting and spend all their time on CA and the rest of us slackers will get a chance to catch up.

    Welcome Scott.

Hey Scott! I've known your stuff from around the time D&D 3rd edition was coming out. Even shared a few book credits with ya! But man, your work has REALLY taken off since then. Glad to see you joining the madness here.

    Wow!

Wowzers what a welcome! I can see this place might have a serious impact on my workflow.

Well since I am introducing myself, here is another side of what I do. This is my ChapterBook style. This is where I cut loose and try to make myself laugh as I work. You know, like out loud. I also do an even more watered down style that is straght up picture book. I love this kind of work, and it kinda balances the more serious stuff, ya know? I try to ping pong back and forth as much as possible.

This is for a series called the Secrets of Dripping Fang penned by Dan Greenburg. There will be 8 books in total, and they are littered with chunky ink inside. I think the first three are out.

Don't know if the younger stuff is y'alls cup of tea or not, but by the variety and shear # of artists here, why not post-um right!

Hot damn y'all have made me fee welcome! Thanks!

Lemme know if you want to see some INK!

    Scott

    INK I want INK!

lovely work, I'm gonna go check your website now

ok, I'm back. I really like the structure of your compositions, neat elements like arms reaching across the picture plane that work on narrative and visual levels.

I'll be looking forward to future updates!

visited only one page of your site so far -- beautiful, exquisite, mesmerizing (runnin' outta superlatives, here), definitely my cuppa, and the Chapter Book pieces are wonderfully stylish. i also vote for the ink.

btw, what part of the South did you spend a lot of time in, y'all? (mine was Texas & Florida)
