question for all you cintiq owners

I'm really putting things in order so I can get myself one of these things in the near future. But I had a few questions from you guys who have been tearing 'em up already... How durable do you feel the drawing surface is (do they have replacements available?) and exactly where do you stick your keyboard while painting on the sucker?!

With that you can just keep your keyboard in front of your initial monitor.


The screen seems durable enough. Haven't had any problems.

with a cintiq, josh is right: you need a nostromo. You shouldn't use the keyboard while you're painting. I ended up haveing to get a huge desk just to fit everything. My keyboard's in front of my old monitor, which I use for reference and the like. I still haven't found a great setup, but it's still way better than using a silly wacom tablet.

The surface is fine. If something ever went wrong, you have a warranty, but so far it's been great. Hurry up and get it before they raise the price again!
