i have a huge backlog of vinyl records that i need to rip into digital. and samely, i have a huge 20 gig selection of mp3s that i'm finding myself getting irked with - like they're getting a bit stale - or the saying goes, "PLAYED THE FUCK OUT." so ... it might seem a bit extremist, but i'm going to backup the mp3 library to my external hard drive, Destroy All Music from my hard drive and start over. There are tons of esoteric records, rainforest pygmies, louisiana acadians, ventriloquism instruction, ancient blues, folk music from all over the world, plus lots of great rock and country stuff that i've been meaning to rip for a while but never really had a chance. and bonus is that it's a great thing to do while working on some artwork or sewing or something. keeps me stationed and with a regular break to keep on task.
