    Biggles's Sketchbook

    Hey,

First thing I've got to say is that the level of work here is absolutely astounding. It's really inspired me, in particular the journals where people just get better and better.

I've had a bit of a mixed relationship with art, having considered it more of a hobby than a genuine career option for me. I was lucky enough to spend a year at art school in Paris, but unfortunately couldn't afford to carry on with that so fell back on my computer science degree for two years of rather unsatisfying office jobs. Now I want to get back in to art more aggressively and make a living out of it. It's scary, because I live in an expensive city (London) and I have no idea if I'll be able to afford to do this, but I have to try.

Anyway, that's my life story so far, I should put up some work. I'm a little all over the shop style-wise, my teachers were firm believers in not letting yourself get too comfortable with any one style too early in your career.

Almost everything I've done that I'm halfway proud of can be found on www.bigglesart.com but I'll upload some of my favourites here.

thanks for the comment on my sketches mate... i love your more traditional art, looks pretty good overal... your cartoony drawings look kinda weird... try to experiment more in style, anatomy and colour!

    cheers
