    Fellah - Book3 - 2006 - 09.30

    Hi again all.
Started drawing yesterday again after a little break and i am amazed at how fast you loose feel of it. Well, i do anyway. Thought it would be a good time to start a new book and see if there is going to be any progress.
These drawings are pretty random warmups and have alot of flaws, that i didnt care to fix. My bad.

    Facestudie, ref

    My usual wonks

Ultra fast first sketch for a painting. Not going to post alot of these, but sketching before painting is new to me, so im pretty proud, heh.

Hope to have some better stuff soon.
    Nice to be back.
    Cheers, dudes!

great then I can relate to them at whole other level / mindflaw

nah jokes aside we learn through our flaws... well by realise that we have them and understanding them... otherwise no improvements... never having that sweet feeling of joy when you realise you got just a little bit better than before.

Fellah. OMG. I'm so glad! I lost any hope to see you posting in the sketch book section. I'm so happy I was wrong. And your update is great! Has a lot to offer.
The most beautiful in my opinion it the portrait of this aged ethnic (?) woman. I love how you did her rich hair. Beautiful, juicy, deep color, very pleasant to observe combined with the soft (and I have to say in the same time rough) texture of her hair. She looks wild and cozy and raw, like a Mother Bear. A very strong personality, very likeable too. I like how these lines of her outfit and small shading create very good volume. I like the modest, careful expression of her face, her old eyes with aged thin stretched eyelids, patience in how she rests her lips. She is an Asian Madonna, a bit older, but with the same motherly expression. I love this image. took it with me.

I like this one eyed beauty. Shading on the cheeks is awesome, not sure how you did it. It could be some digital brushes but I somehow think it is pencils. In general, it's a very delicate combination of digital and traditional. very smooth. So very pleasant to look. And as always such good taste in the whole manner to draw, very elegant, I'm looking at these beautiful parallel pencils strokes and then at those long very precise lines to define a silhouette. I feel an aesthetic pleasure observing them. I saved it, thank you very much.

Your usual wonks are wonderful. I wish it was a bigger images. Her legs are a bit too heroic, but I guess it helps her to run from the war field faster.

On the last image, did you mean it's a digital drawing? Very nice, how did you manage if you need to see tip of the pen? I really like this glowing on his wings, very beautiful. And slightly different ( sharper) shining of the metal armor and the face.
So glad to see big update, very generous of you. I missed it very much.

Sleep more though, don't update too often.

Great new year post Fellah. I can already see the maturity in your latest works. The mask image is very inspiring and I've yet to figure out how you make all your drawings with a style so unique. And also how you find the time to do them all!
Do you have an office job where you can sit down for 8 hours and draw about 50% of the time? Or is it more like you get home and you don't watch TV or anything and keep all that alone time for art itself?
Myself, I can hardly find time to post on this forum and work; and still find the energy to sketch.

i am amazed at how fast you loose feel of it.
This is so true. I find it harder when you haven't drawn in a week, then you lose motivation and it feels like the world ends itself.

Can't wait for your upcoming art!

book3... I can't even seem to get to page 2 with my sketchbook hehe. Again your works are still some of the greatest (and scariest haha) on this site. I like your website, allthough now I can't save the pictures because it's in flash, but I can live with that. I'll be checking back for updates on a regular base.
.....BTW don't ever take a break from drawing again......no really...ever...
beware my avatar is cooler then my drawings
