Recursive, Grey, Skivvy, thanks for taking a look. Grey, SQUEEZE that artery!

Here, I am attempting to add some aspect to the immediate foreground to make the space feel less flat.

Waaa Great SB!!! That one enviro that you posted was awesome! You have so many great characters in here. This last painting is so cool I love the camera angle+tilt and adding that third guy in the back really made it work. Can't wait to see more

New work? Not quite, I've been grinding away on this very slowly for a while.

What exactly were those last 2 done in? They look really nice! Apparently "grinding slowly" worked out damn fine

All right, it's true, I haven't posted sketches in bloody forever. But since these links are all still working, I might as well resuscitate this old thread instead of starting a new one. To kick it off here are a few rough doodles that I've been working over for who knows how long. I'm just going to keep mixing up my 3d sketches and my 2d sketches, most of the time, it should be obvious which is which.

All right, the new images should show up now. That was a failed hosting experiment.

I very much enjoyed the sketches, very econimical...nice. What grade pencils do you use for sketching by the way. I draw ok, but always find it difficult to seperate the tones.

That's a reasonable question, since I value (no pun intended) a limited number of discreet steps to the shading usually.

I switch back and forth between two pencils when sketching - an H and a 2B. If I'm feeling sassy, I'll use the H as a stomp, and blend with it.
