ok oki! I'm going to critique anything besides the asian porn. The training camp gestures are coming along nicely, how long do you spend on them? And the painter one is really nice, considering you are working with a mouse the skin tone is really, but something I see over and over again is the rubbery legs. I guess you can call it that.. I don't really know how to explain it, but lets see. Well the leg looks like it's just folded in half with no squish or overlapping. I saw some of this in your gesture drawing too, but only on the crouching poses and stuff like that. I'll elaborate more if you want, you know how to contact me =)

Big-Dave: hehe I do a lot but I don't do enough
zeeble: Ok will do.![]()
Hey Oki! Your studies from ref - the noses and other anatomy stuff on the previous page are great.Regarding the hair in the last batch of sketches.. Careful with hair, remember it's strands in layers, not one flat sheet of hair plastered to the head. Some studies in that area would probably do you great. Don't stop posting!
(And your scanner is absolutely horrid!)
hiya oki!
the lip studies are looking good right there, all nice and shaded. The <-ERR chick is nice, but her hair isn't sitting on her head correctly which is probably why it looks wonky, the face proportion is really nice tho. And the dude with the armor looks good, doesn't look like it'll protect him much tho. =P

I gave the ERR girl hair like that because i was too lazy to finish =P halfway. The dude with army, yeap, more laziness "I'll make up an excuse. he's a uhh spartan"
Nice pencilwork man - was chatting it up with you in IRC (woohooguru), keep up the posting!

Come on people I need more critiques!
Sorry for not visiting sooner...
So, you're doing very good actually.
But there are things that bug me a bit:
Too much greys. Try to separate more your values and pop out the planes. That's all it is about, planes. The more you use lines, the flatter (?) the drawing will be. Some of them are good, other are good too, but still a tad flat. I see that you focused more on getting your marks and saving all of them in your mind, but the next step to giving shape is working on the planes. Line weight can be an alternative, but might complicate a bit the reading (?)
And, as i told you, keep in mind where you want to place the focus on the image to keep the contrast (it can be of value, shape, etc) for that place.
This one for exemple needs more contrast:

Add some more values or something to make us more interested.
I'll add some more only if you post more....
...
lol j/k, that's all for the moment. I'll edit if i see more.
Keep it up monseigneur !
DanielC covered most of the points that I would have made, so I'll just add that you might want to look at controlling your line work a bit more. You seem to have a lot of feathery lines in yor drawings, which detracts somewhat from the drawings. Controlling the direction of your shading is another thing, having it follow the contours of the object it is applied to, but you seem to be working on that already so that's not so much of a problem
small update

Looking better !
Still go a tad further on the values for the very closed places, like armpits or any other place as dark and mysterious...
nice studies!
Someonee's been working hardGood work on the figure practice. Only thing I'd say is that the first life drawing seems a little flat in the shadowed areas on the front of the torso and right leg and the second one seems a littlee flat around the breasts. You've done a good job of giving form to the abdominal muscles of the second one though and the dramatic lighing on the upper body of the first looks great
Been a bit

Hey oki! Those shaded figure drawings are still awesome.
Let's see..new update. Your face drawings are really nice, the anatomy looks good and we have some more quick figure drawing. Looks good! update more, keep our SSG alive!

Keep rolling man. Like the quick figures and the last update. Listen to DanielC about your values.
