Want to upsize you Wacom?

Well, I want to downsize mine. I've got a 9 X 12 Intuos2, in great shape. I just got a laptop, and that huge tablet is jut too damn big to cart off to the coffee shop.

So, I'd like to downsize. A 6 X 8 Intuos3 would be ideal. I checked ebay, and it seems like an intuos2 9 X 12 goes for about $250 (US), and a 6 X 8 Intuos3 goes for about $275 (at the top end).

So how about this: If someone out there wants to trade a 6 X 8 Intuos3 for my 9 X 12 Intuos2 , I'll pay for shipping & packaging stuff for both.

Any Takers?

But sounds too good to be true. If I send you my wacom... how do I know you'll send yours?

tried something like this with a video game, worked out well. but then again we were both respectible members with lots of posts in the community.

It's not too good to be true, really, just not as portable for some people. I have a Wacom 9x12 that I recently purchased with a laptop as well and I wish I had a smaller Wacom to be more mobile too.

The best advice for trading is to make sure both sides get delivery confirmation from the post office and trade addresses right off. I went in on a PS2 deal on YahooAuctions a couple of years back and the guy had nothing to sell. The post office got on him quickly. Anything with a value over $100 in most places constitutes a felony. The police get involved, it gets bad.

However, I doubt you have anything to fear. I am in the same boat as Goat and understand his wanting a smaller tablet.

Hey Parker-

Glad to hear somone's intirested. But I have to say, It's not really like getting free money. Just a bigger tablet. My Inutos 2 is in great shape, but it IS an older model then the intuos 3 (which I hope to get). I chose the details of my proposed trade to try & make it as even as possible. If you're cool with a few surface nicks on the frame & a little finish wear and want a bigger tablet, then I'd say you're in good shape.

As far as making sure we (you) don't get shafted, well, I say we do this:

1- Talk on the phoneif possible. We can make sure we're of one mind on all the details. We exchange full names, addresses & phone numbers, both for shipping and for accountability.

2- Use delivery confirmation. I actually have a UPS account, and they've got great tracking and signiture verification. I can send you my tablet & email you a tracking # right away.

Also, I may not have that many posts on this board, but I was in Prague, and know several people here pretty well who I'm sure would give me a good reference. CSteaingart is one- roomed with him.
