    Four oh Four, baby!

Is that his glowbrush/color dodge tutorial?

You can sort of understand some things by looking at the images. Too bad its a jpg file, otherwise you could just babelfish it.

EDIT: I think I know someone here who knows Korean, don't know if he would have time or any interest in translating it though.

Yeah I understood the basics, but I would love to know what the hell are the parameters and the steps he is talking about.

maybe it's firefox thing... anyways.. I will just write the important bit ok?

*the title of the tut means "creating coloured dodge & burn brush" (painter 6.1)

    1. below is default (dodge & burn brush) in painter within photo brush(?)

    2. the nature of this brush lightens regardless of the colour, much like an eraser.

    3. To add colour use, FX firebrush instead of default dodge & burn brush.

    4. Fire brush has "fire" shaped brush head, not very practical.

    5. TO overcome this, create a new brush! (check the image..not too sure how this all works in painter...but I assume u click "new brush")

    6. This will create another instance of fire brush (?) go to brush control > general > dap type > captured >change this to circle. Set jitter in random to 0.

    7. this will create coloured doge & burn brush.

    8. this brush has glow characteristic and will ighten any dark colours. (not sure what the next sentence means but I think black is the weakest and white will have the strongest effect.) Some tips
    - To keep the original colour but go lighter keep it to this range (left image)
    - To go lighter (guess he means value here) use below range.

    9. lastly, use colours close to black and paint over few times instead of picking bright colours to start off. (he said don't abuse this dodge and burn tool effect, I guess it's more of Just Dodge tool)

    Min, thank you

Apparently in Painter 6 there isn't a default circular glowbrush, so the tutorial is about creating one.
In Painter 8 and 9 however, there is a brush like that in the FX category, so no need to create one if you have those versions.

I guess a lot of people where expecting an explanation of the treatment of highlights or something like that (and by that I mean me)
