A quick tip: try not to lay in the interior contour lines quite so strongly, and if you know you are going to be rendering an area in warm colors (skintones, etc) use a dark brown or maroon instead of black.

Not bad. Don't get carried away with detail before the actual drawing is complete. Listen to Elwell and throw away your black pencil. Black isn't a color. Do alot more of these, they're good practice.

Hey hey hey, I never said that . There's nothing inherently wrong with black, you just have to learn how to use it. Actually, the thing to remember is that black is a color, not just "darkness", and it mixes with other colors like a very dark, desaturated blue.

Alright, thanks alot guys. I agree with you alot about the inner contour, it does kinda make it look odd in the second post. the thing your probably refering to about the black is the neck right? I did go in with a dark brown but it didnt seem to be dark enough so I used black. Ill take note about the black. thanks guys, there'll be more comin soon.

It's funny how right you are. Looking back on these makes me want to stop fucking around and be better. I honestly appreciate it, Elwell.
