whoaa!! careful with the smudging! smudging is good for estblishing values but only if your going over it again with crosshatchings but dont go overboard with it.
i dont know how old you are so i dont know if what im going to say will either insult or motivate you but i hope you take it as a constructive critiques and hope youll take it as just that.
there is alot of work you need to do if you want to reach the standards of the pros here. and when i say alot, i eally just mean an idea of anatomy, value, rendering and form and drawing drawing drawing.
its grea that you are sketching and you will only get better with the more you do, thats whats so great about art, the more you do the better you get .
keep working, get anatomy books, study the pros and the classics, and when i mean pros, i dont mean the ppl in this site i mean the real big dogs: dean cornwell, norman rockwell, steven assael, ingres, bourgereau, waterhouse, sargent, sorolla,alma-tameda, jc leyendecker, charles dana gibson, frank frazetta (the father of conceptart).
you will learn alot about these masters and hopefully gain alot of information on how they solve visual problems.
remember to keep working hard, art is never easy
Need to fix up the lines

Nice work, sorry I havent posted earlier. I can definitely see an improvement throughout your thread. As far as character creation goes, I'm not too good at that. However, what I normally do is just doodle some shapes and other meaningless stuff untill i see something that I think i could use in a character concept, or I just see a waste of paper... But anyway, keep em comin.
