Lovely sketches mate, the expression in your lines is great! I love the dog sketches![]()
Inspiring stuff.
Loving the hulking armored-robot types, costumes, creatures, expressive characters, bird's + bug's eye perspectives, enviros, post-apocalyptic wanderings, architectural interests, dog and dinosaur types, and pretty much anything else I didn't mention. Great work, as per the way of your persistently energetic focus.
great stuff. thanking above poster for upping this![]()
I love your quick sketches, the gestures are so on point!
kickass uppdate. i really appreciate your critiques btw, doesn´t matter which thread i read them in, i always get some new insights from yours.

Wonderful output, and so much of it! Love the design of the mechanical creatures/armors and the just force of your lines.
& yeah, I'm dropping off from time to time due to internet lazyness, hopefully I can keep it up this time around :/
lots of love, and a happy new year!
SB. p31 updated 25.04.2012.
your posting it cuz' you want critique on it ^^
The slug looks really nice , could use more stickiness and shine factor , to ad more of that sluggishness to it , if you know what i mean , hmmm and the tail could use a little bit of perspective , guess if you will go for color you can add more disgusting sensation ... so that's good.
cheers
Update bro? Missing you!

Agreed! I want another update in time for my birthday please!
Hi Ryan! very very good! I love the sketches in post #2726
I can see you understand perspective and how to give weight to the figures, they are firmly on the ground and this is not so obvious, good!
Don't esitate on female figure try to keep a fluency sign like in your others drawings!

The dogs movement really comes across, but I agree that your model sketches lack that movement. Maybe you were concentrating too much on prportion etc and didn't let your hand wander free at times?
Overall, very nice stuff though!
Hey Gnoll, still hanging there? Can't wait for the next update![]()
Everybody is waiting mateHaha, hope all is well!

Wow man this is GREAT!! The stuff you do has so much life to it, something to admire![]()
Wow, it's been a long time since I've seen this SB. Looks great, love those drawings, man. You're doing a terrific job handling several figures, I've been trying to get good results as that too, so it's nice to see that I'm not the only one that keeps fighting that old fight. Your inkwork is beyond my reach to critique, it looks superb.

right-
THANK YOU all so much for the support, its always a pleasure to read your replies in here and i am really sorry for the long absence, but i think its well justified.
Lots of things have happened since the year started...
I started the year with a blast by visiting Amsterdam with some non-art friends- had a reeeeally great time, saw plenty of stuff, walked on the frozen canals, saw the Van Gogh museum and plenty of other stuff and overall Ican't wait to go back.
In january i started school again, and we started focusin on inking.
Its really interesting stuff (altho unfortunately the majority of it goes unnoticed by the casual observer), but for now most of the exercises are really "mechanical" so i don't have much pretty stuff to show for now (me trying to draw straight lines with a brush by filling a page with 'em doesn't really give entertaining results).
I managed to find a couple of art related odd jobs here and there that i can't show yet, the most interesting one beign a pre-visualization work for Nike Italy(!) (yeah, nike, how awesome is that).
I'm still working on it so i got nothing to show about that either (storyboard-like stuff anyway).
A couple of days ago i came back from the Angouleme BD festival, one of europe's biggest comic conventions.I'm a big fan on french bande dessine', so it was a great opportunity to give a closer look to that business, meet a hell of a lot of people (i TOUCHED Moebius, can you believed it?! i even showed my work to Bobby Chiu and Stephen Silver!) and got some interesting things moving.
In the meantime i also managed to do a lot of reading (books and comics), which is always awesome
I drew a lot but i really cannot be bother to scan all the random doodles and sketches (it isn't even really worth anyway) so sorry if this is not a massive update
These are a couple of weeks old already, so i already see soooo many mistakes, but i'll try and correct the ones in the Bego story.
These are some pages from a pitch for a comic (colors by Giusy Gallizia)
This is just a WIP from the next Bego (almost done^^)
i'll try and upload some sketches in the following weeks.
ciao!
