Good start, I wanna see more!
From what I see, it looks like you draw really small. Its a good exercise to try to do one large drawing on the full page, rather than many smaller ones, helps with developing details.
yea i like this stuff, especially that crazy lookin dude in your profile picture, just keep pumpin them out
here is today's quick page ( i got fable for the PC today and it took a big chunk of my time today lol).

these arent bad. a start, but we need to see more. i too like your work with shading, and agree with the words of HEROIC. I would suggest, for you, to stay close to life studies, as youve already managed some decent doodles here that show promise to that aspect, though still, with such little material, its hard to tell.
cant wait to see more.

dom: thanks for the kind wordsalways appreciated.
heroic & azeira: thanks for the encouragement. I busted out my anatomy book and started doing some stuff today - however, i feel like much of it was too "tiny" and not detailed enough.
fat kid: thats such a grand idea - I will try that for tommorow
Here are today's sketches - very poor quality![]()

Shapes. That's the basic thing I can point out, try using geometric shapes in your studies and then follow up with curving the lines out. Takes practice, but your on the right track.![]()
USE GOOD ANATOMY BOOKS ,, DO NOT USE EVERYTHING that is called anatomy,
Loomies is a good ref for work. and u can get some real anatomy books. even from a library near u, get some good antomy. Bones, each ones, with theri defenitions and works, muscles too.
Undrestand it, draw it,
give examples,, Undrestand the volume..
VOLUMES ARE IMPORATANT, ur shading is good enough, But u dont need much shading now

Good to see you doing anatomy, you're improving.
But you're still drawing very small, for the anatomy studies, try to do one or two studies on a full page.
sirgreensock _ thanks for the advice, i keep trying to get bigger & bigger, but i'm afraid I"m *easing* into it
heroic _ thanks for the tip. I'll keep that in mind.
solorpower _ i actually try to layout all of my drawings with simple shapes before I continue - but as you can see, i lose the translation along the way somehwere
well, here are the latest . ..kinda crappy but at least i'm keep it it going. You guys are a huge inspiration, your comments motivate me to keep drawing.
thanks!

Thanks for the post in my thread.
Some Critiques:
I think you should draw more from life set up a small still life and just draw it, using pencil sighting techniques, use different pencils, and etc. Just keep working your arm. I feel you have alot of potential so keep to it.
yup ArlandoBattle is right, spend more time on ur life drawing, than imagination, when u are drawing from life, ue got to study ur object, ur person, the thing. and u added sth to ur library. u wont notice it, but next time u draw from imagination, ull feel it was abig help for u to be more creative, and more efficient in ur imagination works.
1st and 2nd pages are good. those boxes and the oavl thingii, looks good, try doing more of them, giving shadows, learn the lightings properly, ur lines are good. But try to capture the lines of ur objects, the values, and 3dnesssss O_O
keep up the work

10 Minute UberMega Battle Thread!!!
The first sketch with the figure you have in your avatar looks interesting.
Do you use figure drawing books as well? Like Loomis or Bridgman. I think they could help you. Sorry if somebody else already wrote down something like that, but this was the first impression I had, when I looked into your sketchbook.
